Sarah Palin criticizes Obama for using a teleprompter and instead writes crib notes on her hand. Which is worse?

Not sure where you are going with this one. A slap at Palin or at the President?

It is an interesting comparison of how certain speakers prepare or use notes for a speech.

I don't know anyone that has given an intelligent speech that hasn't had some sort of notes. Would have been more interesting and entertaining had she written them on some other body part but......oh well.

Status: offline 		Actually if you watch Palin's speech she was using prompters as well. Watch how she looks down and changes rhythm. She was just using the floor level prompters rather than the stand mounted ones.

Am I the only one that has gotten halfway through a story and forgot where the fuck I was going with it???

(of course that is usually after a few glasses of vino.........)

Status: offline 		Yea, except she is the one trashing people for using Teleprompters, and it is not like Bush or hell any President has it not used them.  Of course Bush gave them up for the earpiece.

Plus it was for a staged interview with Fox, I did not see a teleprompter when O'bama had a q&a with the GOP last week

Status: offline 		The criticism about the President using teleprompters is not that he uses them. It's that he has difficulty giving moderate speeches without them. When he's not using a teleprompter, he sounds more liberal and he stumbles over his words trying to get himself back to center. He's perfectly competent without a teleprompter when he's speaking from his heart.

I am sure you have some sort of proof of her using a teleprompter at this speech. I would guess that if there were prompters there, the notes on the hand would be a secondary accusation. As of yet no pictures at the Huff Post or Daily Kos.... I could have missed em, but pretty sure they would be readily available by now.

I did like the notes she wrote on her hand yesterday... It said simply "Hi Mom".

Does this equate to President Obama using a teleprompter to talk to some 12 year olds last week? Who knows. I do know that most of the time when he is sans teleprompter we get gaffes like the "57 states" and "breathlizer". No big deal to me.

This just in....

Sarah Palin is not the President.

Worse? Well although there may be some question about whether her audience was 'Smarter than a 5th Grader'; Obama did feel the need to use one when he was lecturing a critically minded class of actual 5th graders. Maybe she wrote down the correct pronunciation for 'corpsman' so she wouldn't make that mistake?

How the mighty and confident have fallen! Has the President's image stumbled so low that daily comparisons to Sarah Palin are the straws grasped at by the faithful to stop them from loosing all hope and faith?

Democrats should be out there stumping for Sarah. Ms. Palin as the Republican nominee and alternative in 2012 is, so far, about the best shot of a successful 'Four More Years' Obama campaign.
