I think women post provocative pictures up because it makes (or helps) them feel good about themselves. 

I am curious - it was asked earlier but you didn't answer it - why you have a scantily dressed, provocative photo up, while at the same time stating you do not understand why others do this...?

Getting to the OP, I wouldn't necessarily equate cock shots to tit shots.  Tits are more publicly acceptable (I know, I know, not on beaches, when breastfeeding in public, or a gazillion other places).  By this I mean, you'll see T&A shots in magazines, in playboy soft porn movies, even in basic R Rated movies.  But you don't see coochie shots unless you're in a full blown X Rated flick.  The cooch must be hidden.  And in the rare occasions when it is not, it is a nano-second, fully bushed shot.

While I know a female will get a public indecency claim slapped on her ass (or in this case, tits) for exposing the ta-ta's, I'm guessing the repercussions would be much...um...stiffer if it was her cooch on public display.

That said, women are more likely to post what they feel is acceptable and tasteful, and what they're more likely to be complimented on and feel good about - the ta ta's. 

Men, well, they're just pigs, yanno...heh.

Provocative, enticing are good things. Shoving your naked bits into people's mail boxes uninvited is a bad thing. And if the guy is halfway buff, I vote for a chest pic myself.

But what you're missing op is that the equivalent of performance anxiety in a man is body image problems in a female. So when we post a picture of our breasts in an attractive outfit, it is not meant to attract partners necessarily but to show a triumph of self esteem over body image fears.

Men post cock shots because they think it will show just how "dominant" they are...aka...just how much power their cock holds instead of their heads lol.

I don't see anything beautiful or open or freeing about such shots and personally think most are just well...not very pretty at all.

Hi Butch, I think I know what you are getting at here. A few weeks ago there was a sub guy cross dresser from France; everyone beat up on him (well almost everyone) but it was not because of his photos, it was because of his attitude.

People politely or not so much, asked him to please stop posting his photos within the FORUM posts. He was very nasty back to everyone and kept reposting. He kept saying it was a free country and a kink site and he could post what he wanted and people were arguing yes he could, just ignore it or no he can't, within the context of posting on an open board.

Another time was a guy encased in rubber asking for people to join his kink. Again, a personal ad in an open forum, which is against TOS.

In either case, no cocks were shown, but offensive photos were thrust into people's faces upon opening the thread.

If either guy would have put in a link or kept the photos on their profiles, I am sure there would have been no problem.

I don't think there is a double standard on men's or women's explicit photos. Yes, men tend to send more cock shot or post them, but have you looked recently? This site has opened up the floodgates for disgusting photos, beaver shots, anus shots, people peeing, etc.

It is almost as bad as alt or aff.

So I don't think that anyone, men or women, who post really revealing shots of their genitals or even their welts, bruises, etc. is hot in the least.

I would not even dream of answering a guy who sent me nothing but a cock pic and while I thoroughly understand exhibitionism, etc. I don't choose to have it thrust in my face. Women's parts either.

I agree with someone else that a bit of mystery is always nice when it comes to cocks and other parts.

It's not just the advice people give which is important but the way they give it or if indeed they are only giving advice under the guise of other sinister motives.

In either case I think it rather silly because if he had posted that picture on other sites people would have perhaps been interested in that being displayed as an aspect of who he was. Here on the other hand people were basically saying "No hide this part of who you are because it is off-putting." So he attracts someone and then is suddenly going to stop with the latex kink? At some point whoever he meets will have to know about that aspect of who he is anyway. If it is off-putting then that isn't going to change with time.
