just thought i would toss this out there to see what happens.

name something that's illegal that should be legalized.

i'll start. i think suicide should be legalized. reason being that, if someone wants to die...they should have the right to do so. just my opinion (speaking from experience here)

if you die- then how is it relevant to have a criminal record?

as far as helping someone to die....   I think it is a slippery slope.

It should be legal because the government has no right to make anything illegal.

Fucking love the stuff. Had it in England about ten years ago. I have seen some sights that proclaim to ship the read deal but I dont know, for 200 bucks a bottle I want to see that green fairy guaranteed.

Pot...agrees. How ridculous, and prostitution as well, consenting behavior consenting adults, victimless crimes and all that good stuff.

Seatbelt laws and helmet laws drive me crazy. I'm 43. nuff said.

Smoking in bars. What nanny outlawed that? The only time I want to smoke is when I have a few cocktails, and that makes me nuts. At least allow bar owners the option to be smoke free or not.

Driving while barefoot. Wtf is that? I can drive in 5 inch slippery stilettos but I can't hop in my truck and run my dogs down to the lake in the summer unless I wear shoes?

Actually I think most drugs whould be legal, with the usual disclaimers, adult use, don't drive, blah blah. Especially vicodin and valium. Right off the shelf at Rite-Aid. All day long..

Glad you cleared that up. Many reasons why people want to commit suicide.

there is a danger of WHO decides and that is solely for FINANCIAL reasons.

...incidentally there is tremendous  progress in the pipeline for mending people.    But it is being slowed down.    We could very well live to be 200 years old one day.     Certainly longer then we do now.  However much of this knowledge wont get out- because it would over populate the planet.

so- I think it should be neither legal and illegal.

Absinthe.

Absinthe is legal in the United States as of about 2 years ago.

Yep. I don't know though if it's a federal thing, or just state by state. Isn't that stupid? I do it all summer long anyway, I am usually barefoot from June to Mid-september if I am outside. New Hampshire may not be tho kit, you are in "Live Free or Die" state..

Much to my chagrin... you know how much I prefer to be imprisonned  .

However, it turns out that the illegality of barefoot driving is an urban myth!!!

"Alabama:
Barefoot Driving: Operation of a motor vehicle by a driver with bare feet is permitted. Exception: motorcycle rider.
Ohio:
Barefoot Driving: Operation of a motor vehicle by a driver with bare feet is permitted but not recommended.
California:
Barefoot Driving: Operation of a motor vehicle by a driver with bare feet is not prohibited.
Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware,Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming:
Barefoot Driving: Operation of a motor vehicle by a driver with bare feet is permitted.
District of Columbia
Barefoot Driving: Operation of a motor vehicle by a driver with bare feet is permitted. "

Have fun this summer :-) .

I agree with Aynne88. The government just feels the need to control everything. Where are our rights in all of this? how can you make smoking illegal in bars when smoking is legal? So many laws for things that adults should be able to do. Marijuana is an herb from the earth. And to quote the bible here "God has given us all the seed bearing plants and herbs to use".
Suicide should be legal as well. All of the things should be legal because its our right to control our own lives. When we are adults we should be able to make our own decisions whether or not the government agrees. The soldiers are fighting for our freedom but I have to wonder what freedom that is since we are so controlled by the government.
