hmmmm...interesting...I too made fudge today......it's soft, but quite edible.....sort of like a soft tootsie roll type......the first batch I made, I didn't put enough marshmallows in it.....doubled the recipe to make a batch of boy fudge and girl fudge, but brain farted when I added the marshmallows. Started over, it came out fine. I didn't do the soft ball thing...it just said to bring it to a boil, and then cook it for 4-5 minutes, stirring constantly. I don't usually make fudge, but what they hey...it sounded good at the time. I used the recipe on the can of evaporated milk, my mom uses the recipe on the Fluffernutter jar. Hers sets up really well, maybe I'll try that recipe next time. Oh, for those of you who haven't figured it out, boy fudge has nuts, girl fudge doesn't.....

I used a recipe online that used cocoa, since that's what I had. It called for ingredients that I had here, except for that stupid thermometer. Oh, well.
