Technically zephyr, our hands pick up other foreign bacteria and germs all the time. My comment is based on the assumption that we all clean our bathrooms on a regular basis.  My mother taught me to always put the seat down afterward. Personally I find it much simpler to park my butt down and remain seated through the entire performance...so to speak!

This is also a great strategy. You can't miss if your sitting down.

Great thread. I'm laughing so hard I pissed on myself.

Well, I hope you put the seat back down afterwards SP [:D]

Guys...this is a non-issue in our house. When ever you flush, minute water particles become airborn. To prevent contamination of tooth brushes, soap, etc...close the lid every time!

That is how we handle it too. Lid closed, always.

Im kinda surprised that some of these subs here who have no prob with 'rimming' their Dom(me) squick at the thought of touching a toilet seat.

just a random thought

I don't want to spend My life... touching the underside of a toliet... that occasionally gets pee'd on... Nor do I want My ass in the bowl. I am raising a brillant young male, My son.. and he knows its polite to put the seat down and to rise it when he pees.... No one wants to touch the yucky side of the toliet... That being said, everyone is different... For Me in My home toliet seat is down or hell to pay!

Doesn't the man who raises and lowers the toilet have to then touch the underside of it? And he does this *before* he touches his dick? That's quite unsanitary. Hell, to lower the thing you don't even have to touch the underside...just swat the top part and you're good.

quote:

ORIGINAL: Kaiel
yeah he pees on it... he can touch it... and actually because he's little often times, I am with him in the bathroom touching the toliet seat reminding him and showing him to put it down... Then he washes his hands....  Don't take jabs at moms and kids... that's not what this is about.

Actually, that's not entirely accurate. Much of what's on the underside of the seat comes from below when things splash up. Want proof? Check the underside of the seat after you have particularly bad diarreah. I can almost guarantee there's some underneath the seat. Had the seat been left down while peeing, the pee would be on the top *and* the bottom (if he peed on the seat that is). Otherwise, it's just on the bottom because of the backsplash, which means women are just as guilty of a dirty under-seat as men are. No one is exempt from backsplash.

And then you have those germ phobic women who "hover" over the toilets-afraid to let thier perfect asses come in contact with the loathsome device-and end up pissing all over the seat themselves. Better if it was up in that case.

Good point.

Someone else's bacteria on our hands when we wipe ourselves....unless wwe go wash our hands before peeing.

As we've covered before, one person is going to (potentially) have that bacteria on their hands. In the case of women, they *may* get it on their hands, then use a wad of paper to wipe. A man *may* get it on his hands, and then touches his bare dick with the same hand.

Which do you think is worse?

What makes you say that? Some men can piss with the lights off.

As I mentioned in another thread, I am talking about public bathrooms so it's no concern of mine. FYI, wiping with a wad of paper gets the pee off your hands but soap is needed to get rid of bacteria. So either way, the hands are unclean.

Okay great, and those same men can be the ones cleaning up the pee on the side of the bowl too.

This is what I don't understand about most people. They get all upset if the toilet seat is up or down or not but don't mind having a toilet seat which robs you of your ability to walk even after a medium jobby.

Ever thought that's maybe why some people leave the toilet seat up? They're there trying to walk by trying to goose-step but end up staggering their way out of the bathroom, and they're more bothered about the loss of feeling and sensation in their legs and why they apparently have become paralyzed from the waist down rather than whether the seat is up or down.

It's even worse when you've just finished curling one off and all you can feel are pins and needles in your legs, and not the bathroom floor.

Seriously, some people need to consider supplying a pair of crutches in their bathroom.

Wooden seats are better.

I seriously have no idea what you are talking about, and I hope like hell I never do!

Yes, but "pre-soap" women have more of a barrier between their 'bits' and the bacteria than men do.

I will quite gleefully rob you of your innocence. Sometimes when you're sitting on a toilet seat specially if it's been a matter of time since you've sat down the toilet seat will cut off sensation to your legs and your feet causing them to go to sleep. The sensation in them as you try to get blood flow recirculating has been described as a sensation of pins and needles poking you. This is painful, and if you stand up to soon, with your feet and your legs asleep you may twist your ankle and fall, as happend to me once, not from a toilet to standing position but from asleep on couch and foot was numb to standing position.
