Oh don't make me come over there and wrestle you for it!

Wait-a-minute... I'd enjoy that! [:D]

schadenfreude

"Nauseam" misspelling is totally nullified on the inclusion of this. [:D]

He does have a profound Weltanschauung, after all, and in light of that, I withdraw my cavil.

I'd like to roll the dice and create an AD&D character with the powers to do double damage to nerve points. Perhaps a magic "incite riot" spell? Heavy shields with extra bonus protection against "Social attack". I'd like disquise him up as a cleric so nobody could figure out what I really was. The personality alignment would have to be "Chaotic Lawful (something)"...

Aren't you tired of being wrong yet?

The mob did indeed follow me, from one site to the next, getting me banned each time.

I only recently learned that my ban here was lifted, so I've returned.

And of course, the mob shows up.

Really? Couldn't possibly be that you deliberately behave in a manner designed to provoke attacks and cause disruption and therefore you are banned?

All I have to do to accomplish that is speak up about what I believe. Their intolerance for the beliefs of others does the rest.

They are so very predictable that way.

Surely if you have the mob following you around, you don't need to announce your presence in such a grand and ego serving post. They would find you.

~smile~

Very true.

I have tried other methods of entering forums, it doesn't matter. As soon as the mob knows I'm there, they are all over me regardless of what thread I'm in or how on-topic I am.

I've seen one thread hi-jacked after another and each one ending locked.

That is the mob's true goal: to silence me.

They just don't want anyone listening to me.

Have you even noticed that both those into and not into casual BDSM are in agreement over how you present your opinions?

I need only look at the manner in which they express their objections to get a sense of their maturity.

Do they really expect to be taken seriously, behaving like that? Do they really think such performances discredit me with mature responsible adults?

Are they really unaware of how bombastic they appear?

Bob... if you really think they are ones being immature when they politely ask you to define your words and question your approach, you really don't understand the meaning of the word immature.

This thread did not get moved to Random Stupidity because of me.

It was moved because the behaviour of so many regulars was an embarassment to the site.

If they were behaving better, this thread would have been a sterling representative of behaviour this site could be proud to display to new users thinking of posting their introductions.

Instead it was moved to Random Stupidity.

How do you explain that if everyone was so polite and mature?

AquaticSub -> Creme eggs anyone? (2/19/2010 10:08:56 AM)

Ahhh... someday my fantasy of J-ello wresting with all my CM crushes will come try. For now though, I gotta do some laundry. I shall return and when I do...

I SHALL RETURN AS THE INFAMOUS AQUA!

You never attempt to be respectful of them.

You really have inflated yourself there. If we were trying to stop you, we wouldn't be doing it on the 'Net. We'd be trashing you to local groups in real time where things actually matter.

Yes it was moved because of you, at least in large part. If you were without blame, the mods would smack those involved and remove their posts and the thread would still be where you first posted it.

That just ain't true at all, Bob, I have been moderated on this site for longer than you been here all totaled. There is nothing that I can find that embarrasses this site.

Popping back in to say that Alice sent me a very nice email thanking me for a post I made on this thread.  It made me smile.  That's one good thing that came out of 53 pages, anyway.

I'm ever so glad that you asked.

This is open to interpretation, of course, but when you wrote the original, you actually set the stage for the post to be moved.  In the very first post of this thread, you stated:

One must argue persuasively in favour of a Love-based paradigm while opposing, persuasively, a Lust-based paradigm.

Which could be construed as being against the guidelines of the Introduction section as outlined here:

Any other questions of acceptability will be determined based on the content of the post. Keep the discussions civil and mature, and do not insult the kinks, preferences, lifestyles, etc. of others.

There is an Off Topic Discussion category elsewhere on this board if you wish to bring up subjects other than those intended here.

I happen to agree with whichever Mod moved the post.

Another good thing that came out of this thread is that I added someone to my "Hide this person's posts" list. I am at 50 now. Does anybody have more on their hide list?

So report those posts.

I'm a writer. I don't believe in censorship.

And to be honest, there is more than sufficient evidence in this thread to demonstrate the truth of my position regarding casual bdsm. The maturity of those who advocate tolerance for casual bdsm is abundantly and candidly displayed, and is easily compared with my own.

I believe this thread is serving a useful and instructive purpose, just as it is.

Then why don't you just do that then, instead of being so passive aggressively trollish about it? You might get some actual discourse and real debate about it if you did. Examples of how people respond to trolls is prevalent all over the net, so of course the response to your trolling would be predicable. =)

Ahhh yes the mods told me about that too- it appears to greatly underused. By myself included.

LadyPact -> RE: A legend returns ... (2/19/2010 10:25:30 AM)

Ron, it does bring the question of just what exactly would embarrass the site.  I don't know about you, but the sadist in Me says, Damn!  I wonder what I could do to really give Me that much power.  I might have to think about that.

Rule, congrats on fifty.  I'm sure it's a very interesting list.

This is true. Unfortunately for you, the comparison is not so much in your favor.
