I don't think he owed America an apology,but an explanation of sorts yes.If you portray yourself to be one way for the whole world to see and relate to then turn around and get involved in a situation that paints you as someone completely different than who you say you are people are going to call you on it.And unless he is going to turn into a recluse he had some splainin to do.My thing is don't piss on my leg and try to tell me it's raining outside.The thing with being up on a pedistal is it's a long fall back to earth when you slip.Jusy my 2 cents.

many people have a public persona, and a private one. he owed his wife, kids and family an appology and explanation. he doesnt owe the rest of us anything. and these sponsors who dropped him were merely afraid of the backlash they would get from the bible thumpers and conservatives. its a private matter, and it should have remained as such. now, as for the 20 year old woman who didnt know he was married.... its ok, honey, your still cute, no one will mind that you cant read, or that your eyes are shot and you cant see a tv screen... well... they wont mind for a few more years anyways.

For those who think the sponsors are owed an apology I would likd to see some validation of any loss of sales or market share. Tiger should expand the list of sponsors to include high end propholactics and related products. Tiger should have a special roped off section at each hole for his cheerleaders w/benifits. Mrs. Woods should be in charge of the girlz all being "on their game"...(common' you bitches put some heart into it...that is my meal ticket out there swinging that club.

I don't think Tiger owed the public or sponsors anything - it's not like the less than saintly aspects of his personality weren't known. They just weren't talked about. His wife, now...as someone else put it, he'd have lots of 'splainin' to do! With or without the 9-iron!
