This is a rather pointless conversation but there is much reliable testimony and accounts rom numerous sources that Jesus lived as did his disciples. There is a ton of evidence supporting the work of Peter and Mary Magdalene after his death. These are not made up characters. Now whether one chooses to believe their exploits is up to that individual. I don't. Due to my lack of belief, I chose to investigate the matter instead of simply dismissing the whole thing as hyperbole. The biblical figures all around Jesus lived, from John the Babtist, King Herod to Pilate.

There's a whole heap of threads in that, domi, and shelves and shelves of books. Among the problems is that the gospels were written long after the fact, each one having trouble agreeing with the others, and the four there cherry picked and then picked over by the church. It is, definitely, an interesting area of study.

I don't believe that any books of the New Testamnet were canoned(sp?) that were created beyond one hundred years after the crucifixion. They were mini books that were read by the commoners and gathered up. Some were accepted and some were rejected based upon several requirements. I remember something about the apocalyptic Peter ( iam goofing this up because it is coming off of the top of my head) that was rejected even though it was written at the time of the crucifixion. It went something along the lines that Peter asked Jesus, if God was forgiving why were souls left to languish forever in Hell? Jesus responded that when people reached heaven and they prayed for those lost souls in Hell that they would all be released and be allowed a pass up to the pearlies. It was rejected due to not being fire and brimstoney enough. I think it is included in the Ethiopan Bible(?)

Fine. N0 one has ever seen santa at the north pole. There are many accounts that jesus lived and died. Just because you choose not to research a subject I guess makes you an expert. There are many accounts of Jesus. What you have to be able to do is seperate the life of Jesus from the Christian myth and pilosophy. Just because you didn't believe in what Jimmy Jones represented doesn't mean that he didn't live and die. Drink the kool aid, my friend.

wouldn't it be funny if, after all these people who spend a lifetime going to church (competing for the best dressed goes to heaven contests), praying, singing hymns, paying tithes to the church (since God (if he truly exists) can't handle money) and being on their best (holier-than-thou) behavior (criticizing those who are different than they are)...they pass away only to find...that that was it...they're gone and they didn't go anywhere? just died...and there was neither a Heaven or a Hell? i, personally, think that's hilarious...LOL afterall, don't the Arab terrorist believe that, when they die...they'll all get 76 virgins in the "afterlife"?
