quote:
ORIGINAL: domiguy The answer should be yes or no. There are obvious ramifications if you take off your clothes. Do you do it? i've trimmed the quotes for neatness here - and to highlight the core question...."Do you do it?" You know, i spend a lot of time thinking about the barriers we all create between ourselves and others - barriers often created out of fear, or protectionism of our "self." There is a quote from Rumi that i love: “Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.” And as a slave, the question that you ask right here, Domi, is one that i think about quite a bit - "Do you do it?" i mean, that is a core value of slavery, right, absolute obedience? And how does a slave get over her fears, and hesitations, to achieve that absolute obedience? For me, when considering that question of, "Do you do it" in regards to anything, not just taking off my clothes in a restaurant, well i want that answer to always be "Yes." And i believe in creating an environment with my Owner in which the answer - for me - is always an unqualified "Yes." i don't think that makes me stupid. i think that makes me someone who believes in creating an incredibly sexy and joyful relationship (ref. MercNbeth). And i firmly believe that whatever you put out into the world is what you get back, especially in your relationships. If you put out fear and distrust, that is what you will receive in return. i choose to operate with faith and trust. i may make a mistake every now and then, but the absolute joy i receive in return is worth it.
