Seems like all the left did was cry and wail and gnash their teeth in mock agony over how effective the Republicans were in pushing through their various agendas.

With the Dems in control of the White House and the House and the Senate, all we have is a three ring circus.

Wishing Bunning had these same balls when AIG got those billions of dollars that tax payers are gonna have to pay for. Hey! Can the tax payers get AIG to pay for their unemployment?

Oh yeah, pre-existing conditions suck and aren't often able to be controlled. Patients didn't sign up for their pre-existing condition just for fun. They need treatment and care too. Remove insurance companies from the few protected from anti-trust laws!

If by "real trouble" you mean "having paid down the deficit already" (as Clinton was well on the way to that when the Republicans fucked that up), you're right! We'd be really BIG trouble.

That was the Republican Congress under Clinton that cut spending and held the line on the budget.

Edited to add, The new found peace dividend, all the money we saved from Reagan winning the cold war for us didn't hurt anything either...

Do you know how many women actually seek treatment for domestic abuse situations? How about men in domestic abuse situations? Happening more and more actually and chicks are crazy. They pick things up and don't just use their hands. Let's talk about the almost zero instance of men seeking treatment for being abused or the physical damage.

Let's not get into the fact that among domestic violence situations, lesbians are the one's with the highest rate of occurrence and gay men almost NEVER report the situation.

It ain't always a choice and it's not always as black and white as you think it is.

Its not the insurance companies that are stupid, its idiot regulators. In the states in question the factors that an insurer can use to set premiums are severely limited in the interest of subsidizing high risk insured by lower risk insured. The only tool they are left with is to deny coverage completely. Unintended consequences are a bitch.
