Icarys, you are correct its been discussed ad nauseum.

I will make this easy -- i am not here to convince you to change your opinion. Your opinion in my opinion is on many levels the misunderstanding MANY people have when it comes to identifying slave. Its why so many women run around believing they are slaves and then when they try and become so get so fucked up in the head about it because it doesn't "fit" so to speak. Pleasing and needing to obey are not concepts that identify slave. For SOME, it may be PART a very small part on why they THRIVE in the structure of slavery, but its not why they are slaves.

But as i said, i am not here to convince you from your opinion.

angel

Well evidently you have it all figured out and have your Master's approval so it works for you.

I'll keep my idea of what slavery is to me being a free person and all..I think I'm "entitled" to it.

Have a good day.

warmwoman29 -> RE: Giving up (3/6/2010 11:22:05 AM)

Vaguely ... yes it is my concern because if Troll is indicative of the mass majority of people here, then I am definitely in the wrong crowd.  I should stop beating my head against the brick wall and admit defeat.

I was taught that BDSM is about strength of bond and love and devotion and yes a bit of roughness, but nowhere did my mentors teach me it meant giving up one's humanity.

barelynangel -> RE: Giving up (3/6/2010 11:22:32 AM)

Umm OP all FukinTroll really wants is to be picked up at the HILO airport lol.

grins sweetly at FukinTroll, see i am TRYING to get you a ride. Until i get there of course.

Rule ... and what obligation do I have to "obey" your commands?

None. However, it does establish that you cannot recognize and take good advice.

And I don't think NOT being forced to plow fields makes me a control freak. That's why tractors and combines were invented.

What might make you come across as a control freak is your telling him that he can't be serious.
You don't want to plow any fields: fine. Don't get involved with the Trollmeister.
He wants his fields plowed: fine. He will leave you well alone.

You're being kinda judgemental, here...

warmwoman29 -> RE: Giving up (3/6/2010 11:24:57 AM)

angel -- *laughs* why do you keep calling me OP?

And you know what really happened to Rapnuzel when she let the Prince climb up to her tower? He raped her and knocked her up! she was an innocent and didn't know what he was doing to her. THAT was why the witch found out -- her pregnancy showed!

Trust me: Troll is indicative of nobody but himself. (And I say that in the nicest possible way, Mr Slurpy.)
There is no 'BDSM is about X, Y Z'.
All there is, is 'I want a relationship based on X, Y Z.'

Just because you don't want what he is offering doesn't make it ok for you to attack him for offering it.

edited to add: OP=Original Poster, or Original Post.

Chuckles Icarys

What i speak of is based upon experience having been an actual slave for a very long time and knowing slave. So i am not quite sure where you are thinking your being a free person makes an impression on me. I mean really? Do you use that often on slaves to feel superior and ENTITLED in a discussion forum? lol

All you have done is lost my respect. grins and just an FYI -- you should be careful of presumptions about people ESPECIALLY if you are going to try that I am FREE you aren't concept as a way to discuss a topic. Might get you laughed at.

barelynangel -> RE: Giving up (3/6/2010 11:34:53 AM)

Because you are the Original Poster of the thread.

sirsholly ... I wish I could find ONE man who doesn't view women as potential pussy.Oh right . . .they're all taken!!

If you seek friendship, then why do you care if they're taken or not?

This is spot on.

Quite often, "friendship" is the most insincere, most sly and ultimately effective way to get into someone's bed and/or marriage.

warmwoman29 -> RE: Giving up (3/6/2010 11:36:32 AM)

angel ... oh so I'm reduced to an OP -- whereas I address you by your name... *nods*

barelynangel -> RE: Giving up (3/6/2010 11:37:10 AM)

Ya know --- i always thought it was the MAN who plowed the "fields." I mean he has the plow. Geesh. Sighs damn all my understandings are being torn apart this day.

She's not being rude-that's a common abbreviation. You don't have to put the person's name at the front of each post, y'know-that's your choice.

<edited for a pesky possessive apostrophe>

It was a sarcastic use of terms to emulate the one true way attitude I see coming from you. You only have your own experience to speak from but you speak as if it's true for everyone.

As for your respect. You can keep it because last time I checked..I wasn't out to gain it from you. I don't know you well enough to think it worthy of appreciating.

Grins and chuckles. <---rolls eyes too.[:D]

barelynangel -> RE: Giving up (3/6/2010 11:39:26 AM)

Are you seriously asking me that? If you weren't an OP, i'd probably forget to put any name in my responses to you as i have done with a lot of posts in this thread. So at least i remembered to say OP.

Are you seriously going there? You aren't anyone to me but an OP i am passing time with today before i go shoping. Seriously beyond this thread i doubt you will register unless i see you posting on threads i am interested in more.

So honestly, yeah its what you are the OP. Not reduced simply are.

Vaguely -- how else do people know who I am addressing?

warmwoman29 -> RE: Giving up (3/6/2010 11:40:51 AM)

Angel ... as Meg Ryan said in "You've Got Mail" ... if we are anything, we ought to be personal...

I've always found addressing someone personal is well -- more personal.

If you've clicked 'reply' to a specific post, it'll say so in brackets at the right hand side of your post.

I tend to use a quote box, like above, so people don't have to struggle to remember what was said earlier.

WTF????

Do you want even the women to consider you unfuckable?  First you were all depressed, and now you are trying to split stylistic hairs so you can strut some form of superiority?

Do you want people reading this thread to say, "She's hurt, but trying," -- or do you want them to run for the bathroom because they need to take a shower?
