cuckoldmepls -> The Truth About The Health Care Bills (3/9/2010 8:09:32 AM)

Bottom line is this. No where in the Constitutions does it authorize the Federal Government to take over the healthcare industry. Therefore, according to the 10th amendment it is a state responsibility to come up with their own plan. This is why we are $10 trillion in debt. For the past 100 years Congress has been creating agencies, and programs that are unconstitutional. When will you people realize that if a state wants another Boston Big Dig, A Bridge to Nowhere or a million dollar Murtha Airport that serves 30 people a day, then that state will have to pay for it itself.

This is a review of the proposed healthcare plan only on it's constitutional merits. It also gives the opposing viewpoint who argues that healthcare does cross states lines and therefore falls under the Insterstate Commerce Clause. Wrong!!! It is a local person walking into their local hospital. The only thing Congress has the power to regulate when it comes to healthcare is already established insurance companies who do cross state lines, and the medical equipment that is sold across state lines.

You can't create a program that is unconstitutional to create in the first place, then claim it falls under the ICC after you created it. That doesn't even make sense.

cuckoldmepls -> RE: The Truth About The Health Care Bills (3/9/2010 8:16:33 AM)

The big issue here is, should people in Kansas have to help pay for all the Illegal Aliens having babies in California, at twice the cost of what it cost for legal citizens to have babies in Kansas.

cuckyman -> RE: The Truth About The Health Care Bills (3/9/2010 8:27:47 AM)

Dead on target....Obama's Chicago thugs know that once they control health care, then that opens the door to controlling your behavior...your diet, your activities, and everything about what THEY think you should do....  Even if they cram it through by threatening every member of congress....the Reps will be forced to kill it after November and cut off funding for the process....but the idiots who want something for nothing will yell bloody murder.... I say let em yell....who really gives one shit what democrats think, say, or do....they are unworthy of serious consideration....they are a blight on this nation and undeserving of anything until they can prove that they really want to be a part of what is America..... let em eat cake!

mnottertail -> RE: The Truth About The Health Care Bills (3/9/2010 8:29:05 AM)

The federal government pays out more than it takes in to 33 states thereby making us pay for them to our detriment, now, couple of things, that isn't insofar as I know a question related to this bill, illegals are not covered, secondly, this is just touchie feelie, you havent any data to back up kansas california claims, do you?

That sounds just dreamy.

Obama has a gaze of velvet *swoon*.

That illegal costs no more to have her baby than a natural citizen who has had no prenatal care... they are treated as if they have the same condition, the same diseases, the same risk factors in every hospital.

cucky, you have yet to give me those sources that show where illegals are covered beyond emergency care.

im waiting.

Same argument they tried to use ( they being the republican party) when Medicare and SS were initiated.

The same argument was used with Roe vs Wade. Yeah, i know, an unpopular idea with the republicans...

hmmm... seems we are discovering a pattern here.

but keep tossing up the constitution, that same piece of paper the last administration used as shit paper.

Besides... illegal immigrants' healthcare is small fry. Really, the least of the nation's worries.

Michael Conelly is a conservative piece of shit. He is a tea bagger to boot. Can't wait for the tea baggers to split the party right down the middle.

housesub4you -> RE: The Truth About The Health Care Bills (3/9/2010 9:59:31 AM)

I understand your anger towards the false belief that the government will take over healthcare in this country,

But I can't find your anger against GOP bills allowing the government to force people into counseling before they marry and before they can divorce, nor the government stopping people from getting married because they are the same sex, why is the government allowed to interfere on these issues, but not allow everyone healthcare

http://thinkprogress.org/2010/03/08/oklahoma-divorce/

Where is the uproar with the government telling people who they can or cannot marry, or that they can not have a legal procedure in this country if they receive public funds

You hit the nail squarly on the head!

You also can't enact new legislation via reconciliation, rather, only reconcile already enacted legislation with the Federal budget.

mnottertail -> RE: The Truth About The Health Care Bills (3/9/2010 10:27:15 AM)

LOL, that is not at all true.

Termyn8or -> RE: The Truth About The Health Care Bills (3/9/2010 10:30:19 AM)

Money. What else can I say. It is an addiction and a fixation and money and power go hand in hand. Power to rule is indeed expensive. There is a root cause for greed, that is the pursuit of power.

Let me put it this way, my buddy is a porn slut and Womanizer. He makes alot of money. He makes all that money to be able to afford his porn and Women. Understand this. He takes a shower to get a piece of ass. He starts his car and goes to work to get a piece of ass. He fucks people over to get more money so he can get a piece of ass. He put the landscaping around his home (rented BTW) to get a piece of ass. He eats and drinks so he is able to get a piece of ass.

Notice a pattern here ? Never forget there is a motive for everything. And it's damn sure true that insurance companies have more power over you than the government. It's all the same game really. And it's hard to make a sane argument against that power. If I insure your life, I would want to know if you frequently engage in Russian Roulette, bungie jumping, skydiving and a host of other dangerous activities. I believe I would be within my rights to ask for such information to determine whether I should insure you or not, and if so, at what rate ? Seems logical to me.

See this is the truth nobody wants to see. Real freedom and privacy comes with a price. That price is the total responsibility for your own well being, and in fact your very existence. Today people don't seem to have the stomach for it. It is unfortunate that those who have fallen into the trap have bloated the costs to the point where I can't even afford to have my eye fixed. That fucker is going to work on me for about a half an hour and charge me around ten grand. He could never get away with charging that much except that those of you who pay those premums have made it possible. Thank you very much.

And the government getting involved ? Anyone with a working brain on this planet should know better.

T

US government is the biggest player in health care "industry" already. The government (taxpayer) funded existing programs plus medical research overweight the privately owned part already. Do we need revolution?

tazzygirl -> RE: The Truth About The Health Care Bills (3/9/2010 12:04:10 PM)

Yes, the private industry does not cover as many as Medicare does... not even close. Yet private insurance company CEO's make millions in salary, and even more in bonuses.

thornhappy -> RE: The Truth About The Health Care Bills (3/9/2010 12:22:46 PM)

Hey cuck, are you going to accept Medicare and Social Security?

(No weasling out and saying they won't be there.)

If the states a) wanted to fix this problem (which has been around for decades), or b) could fix it, they would have done it already.  Like those socialist states of HI and MA.
