ORIGINAL: mnottertail Meanwhile, how does this impact the economy and employment? Jeri Kubicki, an employee benefits expert with the manufacturing group, said employers are putting off hiring new workers because of concerns that the bill's passage would raise their costs. "There is too much uncertainty," she said. Shit, Shit and more bullshit on that.^^^^^^^^ Sorry, you are wrong. I consult to some of the largest employers in the country and that is what every one of them is saying. I understand that they are in concert putting a disingenious spin on this. Seems to me they have been downsizing now since late in the bush administration, they don't give a fuck what work needs to be done, they drive by profit only without regard to consumers or environment and quite often without regard to legalities, there is always some hiring during the holidays, even the government during the census, and now these multi-million dollar paid captains of industry are paralized with vertigo over the stalled healthcare bill (never mind what we needed was reform) and in their aghast gaping fear and uncertainty, they forgot how to lay off when things become too expensive for them (if that be the case). Sorry, wilb, ain't buying the assumptions, and therefore ain't buying the deal. Still calling bullshit on that little chunk of misdirection, since we know that if there was no healthcare bill in the chambers they still would not jump up and say, goddammit!!!!! we need to hire in droves!!!! (or even a modicum of hiring).
