I've been with Doms though he didn't like a slave to smile or laugh or have fun. They felt it spoiled the the act of submission, that she wasn't being submissive..a slave shouldn't enjoy being submissive because then it's all about her and not about him.

But if a submissive is enjoying submitting, how can that be wrong? To enjoy the *act* of submitting, though maybe not exactly what the act *is*, is part of how I express my submission. But then, I've always known I wasn't a "weal, twue" submissive!

What would be really terrific would be if LadyPact chimed in on this one. As an actual sadist, she would be best able to shed some light on the subject.

Thank you for asking.

My answer back to this is, why would anyone want to eliminate anything they could possibly enjoy?  Why close off a part of your world?  Wouldn't it really suck if your sub never smiled or looked up at you with a grin on his face?

I don't know about anybody else, but My sadism isn't one dimensional.  It comes out in different ways, in different moods.  I don't want to just be one thing or another, and I don't want that for clip, either.  I want us to reach all of the possibilities.  All of the potentials.  I am lucky enough to have a sub who's smile can light up a room.  I would never want to extinguish that.  Sure, he might be crying during some of our play times, but if he never knelt, looked up at Me and smiled....... Damn!  I'd really be missing something.

I was 99.9% sure that would be your viewpoint LP, but I certainly didn't want to speak for you. Thanks for the reply!

It's delusional to think that a submissive or even a slave doesn't enjoy being such. If they didn't find it fufilling, they wouldn't be doing it. Let me rephrase that, one who does it for the misery of it has deeper issues that need to be remedied.

As to littlewonder's comment that some dom's think if a submissive is enjoying things then it is "all about them," well....it isn't "all about the dom" either. When two people are in a relationship, it is "all about the relationship," and what it takes to make that relationship succeed.

MasterslaveLA:

yes good points:

a) If, as a masso, one's goal is "misery", then finding the most super-duper, evil, bastard of a Sadist that ever walked the earth would only result in the masso's HAPPINESS and contradicting their goal of "misery", yes/no?

b) As a masso, wouldn't your pairing with said super-duper, evil, bastard of a Sadist that ever walked the earth still result in the Sadist being unfulfilled and left to playing the role of Sadist, because YOU (as a masso) would ENJOY every bit of torment and torture?

Seems like a "no win" scenario for either of you, as the Sadist can't legally torture the unwilling/non-consenting, and the masso (if truly desiring misery) is best left to NEVER FINDING a truly evil Sadist; ensuring a life of unfulfilled misery for the masso... yes/no???

It is not so much 'fulfilled' (the masochistic version of) if the result of the 'act' of the/such sadism is what that type feels pleased about in the end., hmm hard to explain. ok, it is the satisfaction of the end result (the dominant's release of pressure (no puns lol) as a final result, not the act itself one would be getting off on.

and as far as the

You got it! lol Pretty well hard to find (without putting oneself at grave risk). It is almost impossible...ok, really impossible. Yes unfulfilled, at best, so a gal makes do. You nailed it.

As I mentioned on another thread (dunno which one), I did tend to put myself in dangerous situations back in the day, likely looking for just that. But, now, it wouldn't be practical, too many people depend on me daily so if I just disappeared it would be not so good (and selfish). What did I hope to find? Oh the crazy kidnapper type, sick sick :P but of course, that type of nutball is never around when you are available. Again, it just isn't practical or sound.

It takes 41 muscles to frown, and only 16 to smile. Smilers have less wrinkles than frowners. Us poor unfortunate subs who were not claimed and caged by a twue dom at puberty need to work on keeping what we have wrinkle free[:D]
