Greetings Master,

sorry I'm reply to this so late, but this topic is going so fast and I didn't see your post sooner.

Yeah Bull I guess my biggest 2 problems are

1. Why is it my responsibility to pay for others. I worked for my healthcare.

Actually, you are pay way more now for others then you would in a system with socialized health care.
You might have started to pay for your health care at age 17, but you know as well as I do that most people under the American system of health care don't do that.
They don't get health care (or get a very minimal form of health care) when they are still young and healthy, and don't start paying into the system until they get older and start to need more frequent medical attention.

Because they don't pay when healthy, but do receive funds by the time they get ill, the overall cost of ALL people paying into the system has to be higher to cover all those who didn't started to pay into it before they got older.

In a system where a portion of your wages is reserved for health care, no matter what age or illness you have, everybody pays into the system, even if they don't need it, thus making the overall costs LESS for everybody...

In a sense, it forces people to start saving up already to pay for the costs they will/might get later in live, spreading the total amount paid on health care over the course of a lifetime, instead of having to deal with skyrocketing costs when you get sick/older and paying little or nothing at all when you are young.

I wish you well,

ishy

Nobody disagrees or doesnt understand spreading risk. The issue is whether someone can should(or legally can) be forced to subsidize others through mandatory coverage/socialized medicine, and whether the inefficiencies that are ubiquitous in every large scale government program ever devised more than offsets the impact of forcing those subsidies.

are you saying that in 7 cases they were unwanted/unprepared pregnancies and you considered abortion as a means of birth control????

wtf

if that is the case, and you believe
quote:

every woman has her own story. I do not believe that anyone can make a choice for her and to say you have the right to make a decision for me for my body, my life and my families life, is utter bollocks.I am so glad I am able to say "fuck you " to anyone who wants to designate when and how I have sex and the results.

then Women's Rights be damned. As a human being, uhhh, fuck women's rights, common sense, should prevail within one's self to keep their legs shut. You are damn lucky if that is the case that you are born in this day and age, in a safe country, that doesn't remove those rights and sterilize you on the spot for being so irresponsible.

Heh I hapen to be one of those women who only has to look at her husband and got pregnant
The first was when I was 18, father didnt want to know who I was let alone accept he could be a possible father...I didnt have an abortion oh and I was on the pill.five months later I miscarried.
I got pregnant with my eldest  six weeks after meeting my hubby, was also on the pill.... I gave him the chance to fuck off, he didnt... daughter is alive and kicking
ON the pill again, misscarriage number two
on the pill and condom  result son number 2
Beg to have tubes tied, denied. got pregnant again  result ....miscarriage at 11 weeks
Found out I was pregnant the day my hubby scheduled to have vasectomy .......Third child born alive and kickin
had my tubes tied six weeks after he was born.
One year later I have an ectopic pregnancy that bursts in me, I almost die, ....tube obliterated

I never said I thought of abortion as birth control, birthcontrol should work..... I contemplated abortion as an option which is my RIGHT

you are so quick to jump to conclusions arent you
real smart

you said

and I said:

I am not jumping to conclusions..I said what any other sane person would. having thought that someone who claims to have considered abortion 7 times would not expect a few curiousity questions and assumations? this is the realll world sometimes people ask.

*btw, I am fertile mrytle, don't blame me. But, if I didn't want children or had medical issues (as you did) with unwanted pregnancies, I reverberate the legs closed issue.

but I get it
quote:

I am so glad I am able to say "fuck you " to anyone who wants to designate when and how I have sex and the results.
sometimes fucking is way more important than the possible consequences.

In regards to previous comments about health care in other countries I googled it once as I tried to show an american Dom last year the difference (written by someone else then my words) why I am dissatisfied with the british system as his aim was to argue with me about a la there surely wouldn't be a difference in Healthcare between the UK and Germany [8|]. Well, whilst I did not find what I was looking for at that time, I did stumble over one article comparing the american and the german healthcare which is easy to read and easy to understand and doesn't take ages to read (someone might have picked it up in the past as I did post it a few months ago on a thread somewhere):

http://www.amiexpat.com/2009/08/18/health-care-in-germany/

or here I just found now whilst searching that first article:

http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=91971406

And here is one which compares a little bit the system from the UK and Germany in that respect:

This one isn't,strictly speaking,my spitting match...but as a red blooded American male I resent the silly "legs closed" advice.Surely there are less drastic steps to be taken....legs closed is just wayyyyy tooo limiting!

you didnt ask anything there did you, you just made an assumption about it being a method of birth control, talked about making my decisions for me...assumptions are one thing passing judgement without all the facts is another.
I dont mind questions, I dont hide my past, or my fuckups, judgement on my life, says more about you and the pointlessness of believing anyone knows what women go thru being pregnant when every life IS unique circumstance.
oh FFS ive been married to the same guy for 25 years next month, you dont get to judge my sex life

As to getting over being raped...I did not say get over it, I said grow up...rape will always shape a person in one way or another, but using it as a crutch or as a pity me story is just rubbish in my eyes and those doing it need to grow up...It is not easy to get over, I know that, but most people do get on with their lives without letting it rule their lives...sorry, but letting the rape control your life is just empowering the rapist further, and honestly, to hell with that.

Firstly, sorry for the misquote. Secondly my thoughts are maybe guided by what happened to someone I know. She felt unable to think the same way as you, and to me was entitled to make "her" choice. I accept people will all see this differently.

Finally, thank you for a measured reply.

when someone claims to have 'wanted to abort 7 times in the past' and claims no one will 'tell them what or how when they want to fuck' then expect someone to judge that without forenotice or embelishment on your part that you have so many 'obscure fertility' issues.

quote:

says more about you and the pointlessness of believing anyone knows what women go thru being pregnant
yeah, I wouldn't know anything, since I only had 4 and no abortions or thought of one. I must be really ignorant to the very thought of pregnancy lol.

Point is..you implied you 'considered abortion 7 times', quite unfruitful (no pun intended) of a comment if you do not embelish as I said. It was almost like bragging about something so dire and IMO disgusting (abortion) especially when there are people in the world who cannot concieve.

*yanno, out of respect for that girl in here who recently had a loss, I am gonna back away from this fuckn topic right now (I am obviously HATEFUL about abortion). I really don't want to be responsible or have association for it coming up on screen by accident if she were home and to log in. I would be sickened to know the very topic/word itself might cause her distress, after what she has been through. I don't even think that bragging about how fertile one is and how it relates to abortion is ...uhhg it is in bad taste to me right now. So any topics about babes or childbirth or number of. bla bla..count me out. I never should have replied in the first place to that ridiculous concept of the 7 A's.

<bites tongue, until a later date on that topic.

The only thing I have learned from this thread is that Mikey and bully are pussies and that abortions should be mandatory.

I hope this post helps.
