I understand your stance here. I only stated I hate legislation for or against.

It's your personal choice, hence liberty should be yours, not the state or feds.

Actually, it's between a patient and her doctor. It's not a lifestyle choice, no matter what some would have us believe. It's a medical decision, and not a pretty one, not an easy one, not a happy one, but a necessary one for whomever makes it. As such, I fail to see why it shouldn't be covered by the healthcare bill. The only reason it will be dropped from it is because of moralizers who feel it's okay to have vasectomies on the national dime, but not abortions. The double standard is really quite baffling.

If men got pregnant, it would be a completely different kettle of fish. I don't know whether this is tragic or hilarious [:(] .

Kittin, this couldn't have been stated any better.

This one isn't,strictly speaking,my spitting match...but as a red blooded American male I resent the silly "legs closed" advice.Surely there are less drastic steps to be taken....legs closed is just wayyyyy tooo limiting!

Of course there are. You could get into necrophilia for a start. There's no risk of getting a dead woman pregnant, is there?

ShaharThorne -> RE: Women's Rights! (3/19/2010 3:23:52 PM)

I had 4 miscarriages (lost a set of twins, making it 5 babies lost).  If the procedure (D&C) was not performed after the miscarriages occurred, then I was subject to a nasty infection.  I can remember having the procedure done 4 times to clean me out.

I am for women's rights.  If she wants to use a D&C as birth control, so be it.  That is HER decision.  If the father of the child does not owe up to his responsibilities, I say garnish his wages.  As long as there is legalized abortion, there will be be clinics and Planned Parenting advising women what to do (I am taking my daughter to PP in the next month or 2 to get her on BC due to her endo).  Some women can remember the back alley abortions that used to be performed back a generation ago.  I cannot stand the sight of a wire hanger...I used to read about the usage of the said hangers over the years.

Moonhead -> RE: Women's Rights! (3/19/2010 3:27:31 PM)

Has anybody addressed the point of why so many people are pissing and moaning about paying for people they didn't get pregnant having abortions specifically when they wouldn't have any problem with (say) paying for some idiot gangbanger who nicked a Bentley and drove it into the back of a truck to get their skull fracture or whatever treated?

The only thing I have learned from this thread is that Mikey and bully are pussies and that abortions should be mandatory.

I hope this post helps.

Edited to add....I too would like a free copy of willbs delicious secret family tomato sauce recipe delivered right to my cmail.

Fuck you Domi.....though some firmly believe you are what you eat.....I assure you I ,at least,am no pussie(bull can speak for himself,as soon as he gets back from gorland)

when someone claims to have 'wanted to abort 7 times in the past' and claims no one will 'tell them what or how when they want to fuck' then expect someone to judge that without forenotice or embelishment on your part that you have so many 'obscure fertility' issues.

I said considered, not wanted.... HUGE difference. I still light a candle for my miscarriages every "due date". so  I really dont give a rats ass what faulty assumptions you make. As I tried to state... no one knows what is in someones mind when they are pregnant and its unplanned and you just proved my point.
Nuff said eh?

So I guess this means that if an unmarried woman or man gets the clap then they should not be covered.

While that is slightly off topic, it just further proves the point that the core of the issue is moral, not financial. Financial is just the diversion.

We should have a contest to find out which Cm'er has had the most abortions...It would be fun!!!

Maybe even more "funner" then the "Hey Baby" game...We can call it the "Hey Bye Bye Baby" game.

my money is on LaT...Before she went and got all vulvacious I bet she got knocked up a pile of times.

Who's going to start?

Does it count if they are closed around my neck with her ankles tied in a bow behind my neck?

sorry, the only thing 'unplanned' in regards to conception is 'legs closed', a nun or those the choose celibacy. Consider yourself 'at risk' if you fuck (disease or preg). If so..fertile, I think I'd get the hint (from my body) after the first time stuff fukedup. wouldn't take me 7.

it is compared to a vd, any 'liquids'...the best medicine is prevention.

<bites tongue and ties her fuking hands down.
