I'll ask you what I asked Kenny earlier. If a pregnant woman chooses to continue the pregnancy, should that be covered?

Well if the girl has no money and no insurance, then she isn't choosing to have the baby. If having an abortion is an elective procedure only available to the rich, then it means you'll have a bunch of under privileged women having babies they can't afford. That is going to do your society a whole lot of good.

I'm not going to apologize to someone who had to contemplate 7 abortions (knowing after 2, 3, 4? 5? 6?) that she had medical issues that cause her to 'look at sperm' and become pregnant. Nor to someone who starts of (left the rest unsaid) with "I considered having an abortion 7 times'. You'd think someone would keep their pants on (if they didn't want to risk having children after the first 3 times).

It just ain't rational.

That point's been raised a few times already. Apparently it doesn't count, and women who get pregnant without medical insurance deserve a whole lot worse.

Not quite where I was going with that, LA, but also true.

Because that 100% legal medical procedure is also 100% optional. Barring terminations that are a medical necessity, which would likely be covered and are performed in hospitals daily, the issue most people have is with elective abortion, not termination of a deadly fetus.

If some people (not "most", as you erroneously wrote) have an issue with it, that's their problem. Others have an issue with having to pay into the pool to give men vasectomies, because they're not men. Others don't like to provide health coverage for people who catch the pox because they screwed the wrong person. Yet again, some individuals believe that if you catch cancer, it's karmic retribution, and you should fork out forthe chemo and radiotherapy out of pocket .

quote:

Ending a healthy pregnancy is not a health issue, it's a social issue.

That's your opinion, one that isn't shared by the majority of the medical body. It's a question of life and death: a woman shouldn't become an incubator for a life she doesn't want to bring into the world just because it's gestating in there. Your sentiments on the matter are personal, not universal. If an unwanted pregnancy is going to make her existence difficult or impossible, if it's going to cripple her emotionally, physically, mentally, it's a health issue. In the end, it doesn't matter what you think:it remains between the patient and her doctor. Because of this, it's a health issue. I'm so sick and tired of people like you trying to infringe on other people's rights just to push their politics upon everyone else... leave us aborting bitches alone :-) .

PS: and don't forget this... it's not because a pregnancy is 'healthy' that the woman is going to be okay. Childbirth is one of the most dangerous thing any human being can do.

Indeed. I was one of the ones who brought it up. I figure maybe at some point it will sink in.

This view is often espoused by bigoted individuals with a sense of entitlement.

I don't care if that woman had 15 abortions. Abortion is legal. THANK GOD>>>pun intended!!!!

Thank the woman for at least not burdening us with her idiot children.

Perhaps if abortion had been legal years ago we would not even have to have this type of breeder mentality to plague our system. Breeders breed, they don't think. They know nothing about quality. Breeders want quantity....of OUR resources.

I don't know... I'm a breeder (only one, mind you), and I don't want your fucking resources. Your leotard and hat combo really stinks.

You are shitting me Stef....the idea of "class" has nothing at all to do with any conversation this bitch inserts herself into....and if you need additional proof of that I suggest you do a "forum posts" search...her stuff is nothing less than toxic!

You can't call it an elective procedure. Not getting an elective procedure such as breast augmentation doesn't have negative consequences like bringing an unwanted child into this world.

Right but those consequences are social, not medical. While it might be a social or financial necessity, it's not a medical necessity.

Jesus didn't have to whisper into my ear to reming me that if I was causing myself to consider having to 'kill/murder' a you know what because I was too stupid to realize that my eggs are running rampant like circus seals that I should stop fucking for a bit, till I get it sorted. But, like I said, sometimes some peeps physical problems don''t matter when they wanna fuck. Thus, these 'breeders' turn into killers that make the medical system go round and round with funding because they just can't stop to think 'hmm honey, maybe we shouldn't fuck until I know for sure that I am/one of us is barren'. If you don't want kids (married or single, broke or rich) sometimes you gotta stop doing the very thing that creates em. Do you need a map as to what that is??? or will she be back to contemplate abortion #8?

Right but those consequences are social, not medical. While it might be a social or financial necessity, it's not a medical necessity.

Then by that definition so is the increase in Type 2 Diabetes (re: malnutrition and obesity as the result of a fast food nation).

Regardless of where the issue comes from, it is a medical procedure administered by medical professionals.

Perhaps, it would seem to be the logical explanation.

I don't think anyone here that is talking about 'breeders' is thinking about the aging population and who is going to support it.

I want people to start breeding so that I can retire at 60, like the good old days.

This involves a pyramid scheme, the more minions we have at the base the better off we will be. The game is to last as long as possible and not let the government eliminate you via poor healthcare.
