I really don't spend much time on CM. Most of my journal entries about his awesomeness are on FL. :D

Still surely you would say something....at least the mention of a relationship?

I have no investment in this argument, nor do I even know these two people, but this caught my eye. It's not all that uncommon for people to be involved in relationships without naming their partner or relationship status in their profiles. That's really no indication of anything other than they don't feel the need or desire to do so.

Normally I would agree but in this case her profile states she is looking. I do find that odd.

ETA: not to mention that she says she does on FL. Why there and not here?

Have no fear Lockit, my guess is that no subbies were harmed in the making of those posts. I doubt they have ever met. For all her talk about how awesome he is, she makes no mention of him in her profile, I would have thought she would be raving about this fantastic Dom who has her losing so much weight if they had.

Ah, hell, you got me! DV and I have never met for real. I actually just go down to San Jose and stalk him every month. He tolerates it but doesn't seem to like the boiled bunnies I leave for him. It's very annoying and hurtful that he doesn't like my gifts.

DarkVictory -> RE: Why do we get all uppity about Weight based Threads? (3/28/2010 7:01:37 PM)

Heh. Which reminds me.... I think I'm gonna make you drink all that shampoo crap you left under my bathroom sink.

Lockit -> RE: Why do we get all uppity about Weight based Threads? (3/28/2010 7:09:59 PM)

I really don't care what their relationship is.

I see a man who is over weight himself, from eating crap as he says, calling other people who are over weight crass names, being rude, out of control or abusive and trying to rile people up. A man who has proven to be a hypocrite, who likes to play mind games. He says we are playing the victim and points fat fingers at others for maybe doing the same thing he has done. Did he admit he was a fat fuck like he called us? Only when confronted with it. So in my opinion he is not only hypocritical, doesn't know medicine and spouts facts as if they are the law of nature in any situation, who has no honor.

I will consider the source.

DarkVictory -> RE: Why do we get all uppity about Weight based Threads? (3/28/2010 7:24:02 PM)

"has no honor" - lol. god, the way that word gets used.

In the words of Inigo Montoya - "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."

Lockit -> RE: Why do we get all uppity about Weight based Threads? (3/28/2010 7:25:35 PM)

LOL... you are a funny little man. Enjoy yourself.

DarkVictory -> RE: Why do we get all uppity about Weight based Threads? (3/28/2010 7:42:04 PM)

@lockit - now look shamu, either I'm a big old tub o lard as you intimated earlier, or a funny little man, but I can hardly be both.... :D

I think she was referring to the your level of maturity/ size of your intellect there, DV. I know I would have been. [:D]
Small people come in all physical sizes.

Size queens are everywhere.... lol

Isn't this the DV that took in some English / UK chick a few yrs ago (ok, or less) and it went on *and on,  in the rooms about the meet, then it died out soonafter they met?  Or a diff guy and gal?  she was a lil chubby but he adored her all the same?  Is that why she left? Her fat? Or did he just suck in bed?  Wonderin'?

k forget it, found it: http://www.collarchat.com/m_1977871/mpage_3/tm.htm that chick?

well, if overweight chicks are so offensive, why is he taking them on as subs? http://www.collarchat.com/m_1972595/mpage_1/key_softness%252Cweight/tm.htm#1972631, http://www.collarchat.com/m_1972595/mpage_1/key_softness%252Cweight/tm.htm#1972636

and another 15 other weight threads she participated on.  That was your woman, no?

really though? is it a kink? to belittle the 'larger chicks' as motivation?? cuz that might be considered more of a sickness, especially if (from what I read) you kinda do that for a living DV? Or did I read wrong that you are a motivational weight loss specialist of some kind?Hell, I'm not even overweight and I find your words offensive.  (thank God, I don't seem to be your type, I don't like redheaded men, shave your head then dye it black as it grows in ok?)

LafayetteLady -> RE: Why do we get all uppity about Weight based Threads? (3/28/2010 10:10:12 PM)

It is really amusing that all of the men who love throwing around all the fat insults readily admit they need to lose a few pounds and will. Except all ya HAVEN'T done it. So obviously you are just using the "I will lose it" to justify the reasons you think you can spew the insults at others. Personally, I think the reason they all have the problem with bigger ladies is because not even the skinny bitches are giving it to them and their hands are sore from all the jerking off they have to do.

Couple of things to clear up with all these self proclaimed medical experts and the concept of obesity and disease.

The 58% of "pre-diabetics" who improved their blood sugar wasn't because they stopped eating junk food. The "healthier lifestyle" means many things, none of which involve junk food. Adding a bit more physical activity and making the amount of food you eat less does not equate to stopping the intake of junk food.

Level, you didn't "reverse" your diabetes. You have it under control, managed. Diabetes has NO cure, once you have it, you always have it. While it is wonderful that you have it under control and you are managing it, don't mistake that for it being "gone."

Both HypO and HypERthyroidism can cause weight gain. Ask any endocrinologist. The effect of the thyroid on metabolism is not as high as people would like to think. Many women with thyroid issues are not diagnosed. Metobolic Syndrome can have a great deal to do with weight issues. It is also frequently not diagnosed, so all the lovely statistics the smart asses are spouting about the "rarity" of thyroid or other health problems are useless because of the extremely high number of undiagnosed cases.

It doesn't matter if someone isn't attracted to someone who is overweight. You are entitled to be attracted to whomever you choose. Not all people who are overweight are suffering from some self loathing. They aren't all sitting around eating bon bons everyday. They aren't sitting on their asses doing nothing either.

Now if someone is going to "whine" about the phsycial shape, then yes, they should shut up and do something about it. But if there isn't any whining going on, there is no logical reason to comment, and certainly no reason to be rude. Like I said at the beginning of this post though, is that it is the insecurities of those needing to be rude that causes the comments. For those who think it is ok to tell everyone who is overweight what they are doing wrong....well, from the looks of this thread, y'all really need to look in the mirror. Because while you are all so positive that people can simply lose the weight, that look in the mirror showing that you are far from hot, barely even attractive is harder to overcome. It isn't the "fat girls" fault that y'all aren't getting laid. It's because you all are so butt fucking ugly on the inside that it has overflowed to the outside and makes you undesirable.

But have no fear, because none of the overweight women would ever want to fuck any one of you with someone else's cooch, let alone their own.

Oh, but LL, they can lose the weight, and they will! Doesn't that count? Surely you don't think they might be using... *gasp* an excuse?? LOL!

Say it isn't so! Shame on you for contradicting blatant stereotypes! "Everyone knows" that overweight people are all miserable,  eat bon bons, and sit on their asses 23 hours a day! [8|]

This is sort of a chicken/egg thing when it comes to fat threads. IME, it usually starts with people making baiting, nasty remarks about laziness and lack of willpower. When the targets of said nasty remarks reply, they are "whining", "making excuses", whatever. As I'm sure you've noticed, the vast majority of fat threads are started by people (usually men, sometimes chubby men) complaining about their inability to find skinny people (usually chicks) in the BDSM scene. I have yet, in over 2 years on CM, to see a fat thread started by an overweight female whining about how she can't lose weight.

In the end, it is neither here nor there. Fat threads, like the planets of our universe, travel in predictable patterns. As I said pages ago, I use them as a screening technique, because this is one subject that really brings out the ugliness in people.

The answer to any fat thread should just be....

"Holly's cooking"
