When many people, myself included sign up for something having read what there is needed to be read, they sign as having read and understood the instructions. Problems only come when you believe you have read and understood  the instructions and someone alerts you to the fact that what you have done is wrong, and against TOS in this case, but you cannot see where, or how since your understanding was your understanding, not someone else's understanding. Perhaps it is not inderstood by many, but people's perceptions might be different. This problem can be alleviated to a certain degree by the correct use of words and punctuation.

I wonders though, does everyone who has read TOS actually understand them as they are meant to read, or are there other perceptions, this includes those that police these forums, is there a definitive or has the understanding been left to the individual.

Ok I have been moderated here... though never actually banned......

I have never been moderated with out knowing it was coming. No Mod ever booted me without warning....ever.  I was warned.... and next thing ya know.....

I never read anything on forums. I just do what I do, until I get thrown out, reasoned with, or leave.

If rules exist, they must be applicable to all, and written in such a manner that they are understandable to all.. If this criteria is not met, the rules become nothing more than a disclaimer to trap the unwary and shrug off guilt for others actions.

Fine, I can accept being told off, I can accept the gold bordered messages, but I would for the sake of understanding like to be told where I have failed and how this compares to the rules as they are to be understood, not simply be told I am in breach of TOS, as if I cannot understand, then the possibility exists I might do what it is I have done again, because of failure to understand in the first place, through perception and further perception.

If you don't understand rules as they are written then you don't sign up for something you don't get.  If you do and fuck up, your problem.
If you get something wrong and get it explained to you then it's all cool.  I have seen the OP in this very thread have two different admin and moderators explain things clearly and then the OP get all pissy because everyones being 'hateful'???

People can pretty much tolerate mistakes.  But obtuse stupidity is a lot less groovy on the patience stakes, ya dig?  Besides, the OP posted how many times about this now?  I had a look and I can see at least two threads and shes already said that mods had removed others.  So how many threads have to exist?  Yeah a thread about TOS is cool, but it's not about that, it's about some attention seeking poster with authority issues.

The TOS is just a general contract. It is as proactive as possible but cannot cover everything. More specific guidelines need to be built on a case by case basis, that is why all contracts, like the TOS, include blanket clauses like "right to remove anything like we see fit" for the things it hasn't covered.

DarlingSavage, I can understand your frustration of being referred to a document that didn't give you the guidelines you were looking for. If I understand your OP properly, this is your contention, not the fact that you have been asked not to post the images. I can understand how this would be frustrating. But since then, you have been given guidelines and I hope they help.

I for one absolutely enjoy reading your posts and I hope to read more.
