You know we get to watch these American made "shockumentary entertainment" programmes masquerading as informative and educational material too. Nat Geo is probably the worst for it. Fucking aliens, Nostradamus, this 2012 thing and my personal favourites, "investigating The Da Vinci Code". FFS. For every second spent debunking whatever nonsense it is theyre covering this time, at least ten minutes is spent in building the viewer into a frenzy of mystical wonder and/or panic. And I just love how, at the end of each commercial break we have to sit through a minute or two of having the entire programme to that point rehashed as if we'd forgotten the whole thing entirely in the course of a few minutes. In short see it for what it is - pure rubbish or at best entertaining drivel designed to push ratings to get advertising so they can screen the better stuff from about 11pm onwards. E
