It is interesting that I found this post today.  It’s interesting because it is part of the topic of my masters thesis.  Dominant personality traits come from a few different places.    First you have a biological component.  Most people (mostly men) with dominant personalities have an abnormally high level of testosterone in there system.  This is why you see a lot of dominant men that are also bald.  High levels of testosterone also are a large contributor to hair loss.     Second you have a personality component.  This usually comes from a desire for the dominant to control his or her surroundings.  This is why you find most dominants have high level corporate jobs.  They feel most comfortable when they are in charge.  This desire doesn’t stop at there work life.  It flows through all of there life.   The third and last component is the emotional component.  Now I know you are thinking… really? Dominants have emotions? Yes they do.  The emotional component is responsible for the desire for a connection with there slaves or submissives.     Now remember this is about the psychology of a dominant.  It has nothing to do with BDSM or any kind of play.   I hope it answers some of your questions.

I, for one, never give away my secrets.  I love to keep them guessing and slightly off balance most of the time.  When the situation calls for, I will explain to some degree but I dont think many D types giving up all their secrets.  That's one way of keeping the upper hand.

If subs are powerless boats, then doms are their outboard engine.

Strange you should say this, as it contradicts the relationships many pf my Dominant friends have. One Lady shares everything with her 24/7 TPE slave lad. Like these friends, I too refuse to get into meaningless mind games with their collared ones. What you are stating irrevocably, is that you play mind games with what subs you deal with. I do hope you weren't being serious for it would show you as a dishonourable sort of chap.

Im curious what study shows a relationship between hormone lvls and hair loss? Most hair loss occurs as ppl get older when hormone lvls are decreasing.

Lots of BDSM is ritualized dysfunction. Many dominants love "helping" because it is emotionally safer to fix someone more fucked up than yourself. Others seek to control other people because they seek safety in control that isn't there.

Sanity is right. I am obviously a faker and a troll, says the man with the abnormally full head of hair.

Where can I find a gal on this thing with a huge strap on? Are they even out here?

About what I would expect. I assure you I am completely relaxed, after all it's not me who's words sound like they come from a complete nincompoop. Anyway enjoy yourself and have fun..My apologies for referring to you as a chap and thinking you were of the younger set, I failed to check your profile which I usually do (Mea Culpa), as just the small pic looked rather like a young male.

I feel sorry for you that you are such an angry person you have to attack others in a public forum by name calling and the like; perhaps to feel more powerful than you actually are. (Your screen name speaks volumes, by the way.)  I would have gladly told you that I wrote my original post in jest as I did my comment which followed your first reply, but I never had a chance before you jumped my shit.

Look, Im not in here to argue, prove a point, or make myself look big in anyone's eyes.  I pop in from time to time for info and opinions from other folks.  Oh, and also to relax and have fun. Id like to think of time spent here as enjoyable.  Unfortunately, some folks dont feel the same way.  I'm just not into your negativity, and refuse to getting into a pissing contest with you here.

Lighten up and assume less.  You'll live a longer, healthier life and so will yours.
