all I know is one night I couldnt sleep.  And knowing basically nothing about wine except that I like zinfandel, something made me try a red wine instead, cuz I thought it would knock me out.  It gave me a headache and caused me to toss and turn all night long like insomnia, only with discomfort.  I wasnt drunk off of it, I had only maybe 2-3 glasses of it and it was like I was rolling around all night wishing I could jump out of my own skin.  Freaky.

Are you just a tease?  That's a very nice bottle of wine.  Did some paramour bring it for you?   But....unless you have good cellaring conditions, you need to drink it soon.  I'll be in New Jersey in February....*GRIN*

If I'm really really sweet can you pour me just a little glass??  I saw the title of this thread and Opus One was the first that came to mind.  Whew, if only...

Of the more reasonable wines....I do enjoy Far Niente chardonnay from time to time.  One Christmas I got a bunch of $15 bottles of wine to serve everyone, but stashed a bottle of Far Niente off to the side for myself.  The way I figured it, if these guys think white zinfandel is "all that," they ain't touching my good stuff. [:D]
