To the op: Regarding this whole, we don't have a life thing... quote:
In the two ish years I've been on this site, I have met 2 lovers, a number of couples, and dozens of friends on this site. I have attended 2 weddings of people who met here, I have talked with two women going through breast cancer, met and now regularly chat with the most darling son of a wonderful woman from here, fallen in lust at least 12 dozen times, received and sent gifts, holiday cards, and help from a good 30 people on this site. I sleep in a t-shirt from one of my friends on this site, I am getting 2 letters of recommendation from people I met on this site, I've met people during layovers from this site, and I have shared endless hours of fabulous conversations with men and women on here. Hell I have met people on other continents from this website! That is my own post from a bit ago. You see we DO have "a life"... each of us. We know that relationships are more than mere words and demands. I have spent many evenings in the company of the lovely DV (Vampires Lair above) and her submissive husband. They've come to my home for dinner, met my family, gone for a walk with me and my dogs. I've gone out to take photos with them, helped them with their wedding, and played with their cute bunny rabbit after having a great dinner that DV made. I have had similar experiences with many people on here - why? Because they are my FRIENDS. Are all my friends lifestyle? Of course not. I have a wonderfully healthy mix of people of all ages, races, proclivities in my life. Why? Because I have a life. Yes, some on here may be kinky, but not necessarily all btw... but we are all real people. The internet is an amazing resource for any number of things, but it is like walking into a party. Would you go up to a stranger and say what you posted? One would hope not. It is easy for people to forget that there are other people on the other side of the screen. There are websites where your behavior would have been appropriate. The norms of THIS website tend to be a bit more... let's call it ... real world-esque. I have found that in new situations, it is best for me to take a look around, assess the situation, learn the basic norms, and then dive in. Less negative response that way. As I stated (in the first response to your post) good luck in your search. By the way, I noticed you did not respond to that. Why would that be? Ahhhh well, don't worry, I've been around the block a time or two and know the answer. I wonder if you do. Best, sunshine
