You are again misquided and have no idea what atheists think. Every serious student of political science knows that the US Constitution's origins are derived in form and content from the first colonial charters and compacts including the one you mention, the Mayflower Compact, Fundamental Orders of Connecticut, Rhode Island Charter (1663), Connecticut Code of Laws (1650), Puritan Laws and Liberties (1658), the Articles of Confederation, etc., etc. These documents are secularized political compacts which later were incorporated into state constitutions and bill of rights and all have roots in radical Protestant interpretations of Judeo-Christian contracts and covenants, which date back to Biblical times, such as the covenant God made with Abraham in the old Testament.

That is not the same thing as saying our laws are based on Christianity. Funny how atheists know this but Christians do not.

Don't forget ancient Persia. Some of the best Biblical stuff comes straight from there.

So actually, you're under Iranian control.

well its sort of larger than that too actually.  The greatest majority of it stems from the magna charta on steroids which has its basis in common law which has its basis on the unwritten law which was for all intents and purposes of the people who were guided by the christianity of one flavor or another.

It is inseparable.

That and while you agree and disagree with me at the same time in the same sentence no less, you provided no background for the distinction between atheist and christian origins aside from itemizing several documents who have the same christian origin as the one I posted.

So you sort of did a full circle and came back to agree with me.

Not really. He either won't understand it, or won't believe it. Or both. But either way, it won't penetrate, because he's too smart to let it in.

wow the atheists are having a bad hair day huh?

I truly apologize for that but history is history and there is no reason that the rest of us should deny it so you can have peace of mind with your chosen assessments.

I clearly stated that all the documents in the list are secularized political compacts. If our Constitution was derived from these documents it is clear the secular intent by the framers as the foundation for our laws.

You know it! A couple of days of rain and blegh mud everywhere. It's enough to make a bear go back to the Arctic.

Nonono he's asking them to try and keep up; he doesn't expect them to do it, which is good because the OP doesn't really make sense.

This is why lawyers are loath to argue law with people who aren't lawyers.

The Box set of Law & Order and 5000 hours of internet research doesn't make you a lawyer.

It makes you a whack job who thinks you know the law

there is no such thing unless you want to get into "color of law".

The content is not secular, the content meaning in as much as inalienabale rights as they would hve you believe that they lien at every turn because no one understands the difference, in as much as they are concerned that for all intents and purposes Christian.

The setting up of the legislature et al of course is secular.

Thou shalt not murder for instance is purely of religious origin and regardless of what document its found in the origin is the same.

That and the only thing the later covenants do is use the law that was created by Christianity et al, but did not credit a given religion for it and used in a manner that can al=pply to many religions.

Now of course if the taliban want to live here they have no religious freedom because they will be forced under Christian law and they cannot shoot their wifes for whoring around.

To claim they are not based in religion is frankly futile and I will challange to you to show your work and post the "origins" of said atheist law.

If you want athiest law a parking ticket is atheist law.

You think the roots of my country offend me? I wouldn't climb up too high on that horse, if I were you. I just don't happen to consider the Cotton Mather crowd to be the "roots" of the nation that was later founded on these shores, or their laws of much relevance to the Constitution.
