Thompson, I don't want you to believe anything.
I wouldn't want 10 million Irishmen sneaking into our country!
You know, if you are a former LEO as you claim why would you be in favor of millions of foreign nationals sneaking into our country and breaking our laws?
And if in fact we are all "one race" then the illegals and their supporters can't claim "racial profiling" can they?

factually, it is not really a certificate of birth, that is held at the city and state in which you were born, municipal mircofilm archives, what most people have is a paper issued by some church, hospital, or other, and has the recorded number of your certificate; which has been accepted as proof of birth by every state, federal, city enity in these United States. Thus born in New York City, you are a citizen of the United States, and so on.

No certificate, whatsoever ?....prove you are a citizen then. Prove you are here legally. A No brainer dude.

If you Do Not have that paper, however, can present other ID, (SS #, Driver's license, Police Metro ID, Green Card, etc.), if the questioning officer and Court STILL wants the birth Certificate...you are allowed a certain period of time to produce said document, by writing to the state capital in which you claim you were born, send along the search fees, with your request, in about 10 days you will receive a certified embossed COPY of your birth REGISTRATION.

Or you can do it online. What is your problem?

The point being objected to with this new law, is the profiling, racial way the investigations can be carried out. The police can stop, detain ANYONE, without regard to ANY probable cause. Before the law, a Mexican or any 'color' person can cry "I was stopped because I am Mexican." (or whatever)...not now.

The police are seeking ANYONE who is here illegally, no matter what color of race they are....and that gives the police vast extended powers.

The AZ immigration law, as written, gives the police extended authority in that they can stop ANYONE, or enter into any business under the pretext of seeking out illegals, and the citizen must oblige the authority to establish legitimacy.

That's it. Now, if they stop a Mexican, how do they know he is a Mexican? The color of his skin? He may be Salvatorian, or Arab......but no....Mexicans are Mexicans. They look like Mexicans, so the Mexican says, in court, it's my skin color, is why I was stopped. The police say...no we stopped white guys too, and asked for IDs. So the racial argument is nil.

Before, the police had to prove a reasonable and probably cause....now they don't... they are seeking out illegals, whoever they are, whatever they are, Mexican, Arab, Romanian, Russian Italian....whatever. The police do not have to prove anything; it is the person who must present proof they are here legally, Citizen birth certificate, SS#, Green Card. ......and if you refuse....you can argue..."I no show you nothing." then the cop says..."Okay, have a nice day." right?.... " You listen, I know my rights here, cop boy. I no need show you nothing."

Yes they do.

summary of SB 1070

Provisions
Enforcement of Immigration Law

Requires officials and agencies to reasonably attempt to determine the immigration status of a person involved in a lawful contact where reasonable suspicion exists regarding the immigration status of the person, except if the determination may hinder or obstruct an investigation.

Stipulates that a law enforcement official or agency cannot solely consider race, color or national origin when implementing these provisions, except as permitted by the U.S. or Arizona Constitution.

Thompson, I don't want you to believe anything.
I wouldn't want 10 million Irishmen sneaking into our country!

That would be pretty tough since there are only abut six million people live in Ireland.

You know, if you are a former LEO as you claim

Where have I made that claim?

why would you be in favor of millions of foreign nationals sneaking into our country and breaking our laws?

Where have I ever said I was in favor of that?
What I asked was why you were so hot to enforce sanctions against misdomeanors at the expense of felonies.

And if in fact we are all "one race" then the illegals and their supporters can't claim "racial profiling" can they?
You don't seem to grasp my meaning of PC bigot. You want to obscure the discussion with your own definitions of race...this makes you very PC but your bigotry shines through like a beacon.

As you point out later in this post all you have to do to get a copy of a birth certificate is order it and pay for it...what keeps anyone from ordering up some paper?
A no brainer dude.

If you Do Not have that paper, however, can present other ID, (SS #, Driver's license, Police Metro ID, Green Card, etc.),

All of which use a birth certificate for validation.

Or you can do it online. What is your problem?

No problem...anyone can get anyone elses birth certificate and there is no way you can use that birth certificate to validate that you are the person named on it.
A no brainer dude

Hey Twisty, you're the one who said we're all one race. If that is a factual statement then how can there be any "racial profiling" going on as the illegal alien supporters are trying to argue?
And about two years ago you claimed to be a leo and were involved in "more" than 200 aressts but you wouldn't tell us which department or agency you were with.

P.S. I'm FAR from anything even remotely resembling "PC."

Wait a minute here, wasn't it just a week or two ago that Bill Clinton and Obama said that we need to curb the hatefull political rhetoric?
And now Obama is calling Az. "irresponsable?"

I'm listening to the Howie Carr Show (WRKO 680-am Boston)
They have a poll going , "Do you approve or dissaprove of the Az law?"
The results even in ultra liberal Massachusetts, "Approve 93% Dissaprove 7%"
Pops do you realise just homw many of your [osts referrence this guy and his radio show.Change the fucking dial guy, listen to some rock and roll or something...far less harmful to the mind.

Michael, it gets worse. Today Howie has a poll that asks; "Who's more violent, the Tea Party or the Arizona illegal alien protesters?"
Teaparty 12% Illegal Alien protesters 88%
And this in the "Bluest of Blue States!"
One caller said that he was pissed that these people are trying to associate themselves with the Democrats. The Democrats are going to pay dearly for this in November.

I'd have no issues with having my id run-if it meant even ONE illegal of ANY nationality would get deported as a result.

hey,but they couldn't whine and file lawsuits if the white dudes are getting carded too. It's not discrimination if EVERYONE is subject to it. As well as not actionable in courts.

Problem with it is that faking such documents is easy, relatively cheap, and would stand up to any visual scrutiny. How many people find they are audited because an illegal has used their SS number to work under?

So, if we prove citizenship, how would we go about it?
