Video: "A message to the president - nobody in Arizona is laughing."

(Paid for by Gov. Jan Brewer).

mnottertail -> RE: The State Senate in Arizona passes new immigration law (5/8/2010 7:58:10 AM)

Ja, interesting stats there, looks like another example of the ineptitude of the Bush administration

Sanity -> RE: The State Senate in Arizona passes new immigration law (5/8/2010 8:15:52 AM)

You're trying to blame Obama's laughing about the situation on Bush?

Seriously?

Theres a diagnosis for your condition, its called Bush Derangement Syndrome.

mnottertail -> RE: The State Senate in Arizona passes new immigration law (5/8/2010 8:26:35 AM)

What the fuck? I said interesting stats, noting that the bush administration did nothing for eight years.

I said nothing about Obamas joke, so how in the fuck do you get to twist words and attribute shit to me that I never said, implied or discussed, when you cant ever avoid any sort of abusion, Tom?

Sanity -> RE: The State Senate in Arizona passes new immigration law (5/8/2010 8:29:46 AM)

Oh, you were trying to change the subject to Bush.

I missed that, my apologies. [8|]

Lucylastic -> RE: The State Senate in Arizona passes new immigration law (5/8/2010 8:35:04 AM)

Yeah Ron how dare you challenge the video.... there wasnt an immigration problem till Obama was chosen as presidential hopeful and its tripppppled since he got into power. The figures dont lie, they just....... hide
The president isnt allowed to make jokes about anything, cos he has been sitting on  his arse or on a golf course since the beginning of his term.
Damn man needs to prioritise and sort out the real problems first.... the guy is positively despicable.

mnottertail -> RE: The State Senate in Arizona passes new immigration law (5/8/2010 8:40:12 AM)

No, you assert obviously that the arizona id law is going to somehow decrease the 1000% or whatever drug problem (werent you bitching about 3000% once?) anyway, the issue is there is law on the books, what we should do is reduce the government by throwing out the inept bastards who cannot and will not uphold and enforce current law, no sense paying them a retirement, get some motherfuckers hired who will do the fucking job.  You can make all the rules you want, but thats feelgood shit, it doesnt solve the problem that laws are not being enforced, and the oversight issues are not being oversighted.

I did not change the subject, I have pointed out that most of those increases came in the Bush administration, and wasnt he sorta looking for reform as in let the folks in?  Thats what I remember reading in the papers and hearing on the radio.

So, it is a long term problem, and where does ONE states problem lay for a priority in relation to  the other disasters that have been left us by 8 years of Bush?

Particularly, since AZ is one of those get more than they pay in taxes states.

No, I am on topic, and spot on.

Sanity -> RE: The State Senate in Arizona passes new immigration law (5/8/2010 8:45:14 AM)

So Obama has every right to laugh about the situation in Arizona, because its all Bush's fault anyway?

What did Bush do again?

Nothing?

The same thing that Obama is doing?

So when does it become Obama's problem, at what point should Obama stop laughing about it.

He needs to start clearing brush.

I hear the Crawford ranch is for sale.

mnottertail -> RE: The State Senate in Arizona passes new immigration law (5/8/2010 8:49:34 AM)

Yes, he has every right to laugh about the useless and expensive to Arizona  id law.

I think that there are discussions about the issue, and for me, it would be way the fuck down my priority lists, given current other overwhelming problems, but maybe someone needs to see where it is on his.

Sanity -> RE: The State Senate in Arizona passes new immigration law (5/8/2010 8:54:04 AM)

Its true that Bush and McCain both made a stab at amnesty but the Conservatives shot that down, didn't they.

Now its Obama's turn to do something because its really become a crisis, and as Lucy wrote all Obama wants to do is play golf and laugh about it, and criticize those who dare to try and get something done even if the people whose job it is to act refuse to do so.

No hes not allowed to laugh at anything, EVER again.....

ThatDaveGuy69 -> RE: The State Senate in Arizona passes new immigration law (5/8/2010 8:58:09 AM)

I blame every president since, and including, Regan. Ronnie opened the flood gates with his amnesty program and no one has done a dame thing since.

I understand the frustration in AZ. They have a boat load of problems to deal with: drugs, crime, education, health care - costs that the legal, tax-paying citizens of AZ have to foot the bill for. And their cries for help have fallen on deaf ears. Same thing for the other border states.

I don't agree with the law but if any good comes from it, maybe it will be the catalyst to force a change in Immigration Law.

In the meantime, I look forward to the lawsuits that are bound to happen. I can see it now: the ACLU gathers a few hispanic-looking lawyers and has them stand outside a Home Depot store in jeans and t-shirts and with no ID. They get "questioned", arrested, booked, processed, and BAM! Civil suit up the wazzoo!

It's going to be an interesting summer :)

So what are Obamas priorities?

Golf, golf, and more golf - just as Lucy pointed out.

mnottertail -> RE: The State Senate in Arizona passes new immigration law (5/8/2010 9:02:10 AM)

Thats your take on it.   Why has it come to a crisis?   Bush ran around with the Iraq war and fiddled while Rome burned (and not just this issue) it didn't just happen yesterday or last month -- and again, in my estimation Arizona is so far down the list of priorities.

Now if a great deal of responsiblility for this situation doesnt lay with the Bush administration, where does it lay?

Again, what should be done about it is exactly what thompsonx said, enforce the fucking current law. I assume there are INS agents that can go into a business and run a check, and have local police outside to help with crowd control and security, and oh by god, look the fuck right here, the INS has given them reasonable cause to sniff up these peoples assholes for warrants, situations, criminal enterprises and the like.

I would imagine about the same point Bush stopped laughing about WMD's.

The only difference being that a whole lot of people were dying during Bush's joke fest.

Bush Jokes about WMD

Sanity -> RE: The State Senate in Arizona passes new immigration law (5/8/2010 9:05:14 AM)

The law mirrors of the federal law, and even though Obama said it, its a lie that it allows people to be harassed who are just out getting ice cream with their kids.

I don't know if he was lying or just ignorant.

But the fact is everyone who is suspected of committing a crime will be checked for their immigration status, and everyone will be checked not just brown people. They're not targeting Hispanics with this law, or anyone else.

And the fact that the president is out there spreading disinformation about the state of Arizona for political gain is deplorable, he's supposed to be the side of American citizens, and not on the side of foreigners who ignore our federal borders and our laws.

ThatDaveGuy69 -> RE: The State Senate in Arizona passes new immigration law (5/8/2010 9:08:36 AM)

I'm with mn on the enforcement issue. The jobs done by illegals are not just landscaping and produce. Look at construction, meat packing, and any other labor-intensive industy. If company A can outbid company B for a job because they use illegals and don't pay minimum wage and benefits, the entire labor pool is harmed.

People still come to the US for jobs and for a chance at a better life. That's still a pretty great thing. But do it legally.

It is becoming a crisis, more and more.

Blame the origins on George Washington if you must, but the person who is responsible now is golfing, cracking jokes, and telling falsehoods about the situation.

oh, enough of your shit.   Look, mirroring a law that is not enforced does what exactly, why are your wringing your hands and gnashing your teeth about this?  What exactly is going to change in the mirror, if the emporor wears no clothes?

The president spreading disinformation?  Please.....death panels and all that shit is disinformation, his jokes are jokes.

where were your whinings and pathetic amorphisms for the last 8 years?
