ORIGINAL: kittinSol "What if the Tea Party were black?" What a ridiculous premise. Who gives a fuck? They are not black. Who cares? It's an irrelevant hypothesis. Who gives a shit? Plurality isn't represented in the Tea Party, the most "exlusive", monocultural fucking movement in decades. Let's get real, shall we? quote:
ORIGINAL: MrRodgers NO !! This is what Dr. Phil does. "Well, what if...?" Well, what IF I won the fucking lottery...or what if you get fired tomm. ? 'What if's' demonstrate a lack of understanding in issues resulting in conjuring up wild speculation. Besides...black folks don't watch Fox News. Do you really need this explained to you? The entire point of the article is that at least part of the political division has roots in race. That if the same methods where used by people of a different ethnicity, then they would probably be perceived differently. By changing the details of the scenario, the article attempts to point out how race plays a factor in this political dialogue, and hopefully to get us to re-examine our own ideas and feelings, and perhaps get a greater understanding of today's political climate. Sometimes I think people just don't want to understand certain things.
