Your first paragraph says one thing and the last paragraph pretty much says the opposite. You want a slutty nick and then you don't want a slutty nick. Candy, bambi and trixie don't sound sluttish to me. They sound cutesy in an odd sticky way.
When I am creating a name/nick for online or in person, I typically let the person's personality or something about them bring about the perfect name for them and I found something that worked socially and online. No one knew exactly what it meant in case I slipped up and called him that publicly. For instance, I went by Hotlicks at one time and he was Blazensaddle. I was hot and he was blazen. It had special meaning to us. Those are the nicks that will stick and be loved. The one's that mean something.
