ORIGINAL: JessicaSavage Why do people on the internet get so pissy when you tell them that looks matter? Isn't that just common sense? I don't want to talk to fat guys or ugly guys. It's nothing personal and it's my own choice. So why can't people just deal instead of getting so angry all the time? I guess it would matter how you told them looks matter and they weren't up to snuff for you. Being on the internet and not face to face, people sometimes choose a quick snarky response instead of something a bit more tactful. Personally, I've found the best reply is no reply if someone emails me and I don't find them interesting. As for common sense, I'm not sure your idea of common sense would be the same as someone eles's. Much like what a person would find initally attractive...what does it for me may not do it for you and common sense has little to do with any of it. To me looks matter, to me looks are the best way to tell what kind of person someone really is and to me looks are the most important piece of the attraction puzzle. WHy can't everyone just deal? I've read some wonderful books that had very bland covers. Judging a book by it's cover can be quite limiting...unless you're only into the pictures. quote:
ORIGINAL: JessicaSavage lol exactly. I don't even like being friends with ugly guys because in my opinion people who don't take care of themselves physically are also unhealthy mentally and unhappy and I choose not to burden my beautiful mind with people like that. Sometimes people get really mad when I say things like that but I'm just expressing My opinion. Bless your little pea-pickin' heart. I hope you find what you so richly deserve. Oh, and for what it's worth, I'm not "really mad" with what you've said. Expressing your opinions is important...it helps to give people a better understanding of who and what you are. Maybe not the understanding you'd like...but, well...I think you get the drift.
