So, are you confident in your doubts that I served, confident enough to place a bet on those doubts? I'm saying this to you, as I doubt that you're the "neutral" party that you're trying to portray yourself as. The only people here attempting to argue against, or who are subtly trying to cast doubt on, me and what I'm arguing, are those that oppose my argument stance. Others have played your games. A couple people, mnottertail (sp) and thompsonx, have completely fabricated their Vietnam experience... yet not any hint of chastising them for making their stories up. Your failure to do so speaks volumes about what you're really up to. I find it very, very interesting that you seemed to miss my entire point and focused on one sentence instead. As for mnottertail, and thompsonx, it was an entirely different kind of war. And guess what? I was born in an army hospital in 1962. If they fabricated, I likely would have called them on it and you might not know... I do have over 3000 posts... and also have a habit of sending personal cmails if I have something substantial to say. You accuse me of having doubts ... and ironically it is your behavior that suggests them to me. I am someone who does not follow the crowd and needs to make up her own mind about things; about people. But in what you quoted there was only one sentence you seemed to read. I was quite ready to give you the benefit of the doubt until I had read, researched and came to my own conclusions... and now I am not so sure... it seems as though you doth protest too much.

How long is the OP's "short break" from Iraq? This thread was started on 5/5/2010. Last I checked, a short break was something like a few days. 2 weeks tops. The OP sounded as though they would only be available for answering questions within a very short time frame, after which he would be unavailable for comment. Well, it has now been over 2 months and the OP is still here arguing with people. What's up with that? It kind of looks suspicious.
