You are right; I am a little quick to the trigger and a bit too judgmental (in everything, not just profiles).  I really do hate tests though, from either party, but I guess that is all part of the game.

Yeah, it works, bigtime. But if you don't like the message, don't reply to it. Just like if someone was too nice to you, or too hyper for you, or too grumpy for you, etc etc etc. Anything you can think of, and more, is desired by someone. I know girls who won't reply unless the first message is short, violent, and degrading. If you don't like someone's approach, don't have a conversation with them.

And certainly don't start a thread about it.

Hey, it was a perfectly valid question. She saw something, she wondered how effective the people who did it found it as a technique, she *asked* them how effective it was.

I've often wondered the same thing.

If it works for you then that's great for you. But don't get so defensive about it that you tell other people when they can't pose questions to Masters on the Ask A Master forum...

I know what you mean about the wanting to immediately move into yahoo.  not even knowing anything about me.  and then wants to slap a collar on me still not knowing me. In response to the topic, I have never responded to someone who was abusive in an email.

HELL yes.  ALL of the perspective property I'M talkin to right now responded to ME telling them EXACTLY what I thought of them and what I will do to and with them.  It takes the right kind of magnitism that most can't pull off but those of US who can will ALWAYS get first pick and the "nice guys" can have all the rest.

I get so many, they fall into three categories

first category is = get down bitch
second category is = let me help you
third category is = why don't you answer me

I haven't yet figured how to filter out the wheat from the chaft
