There is a nun there who keeps checking me out. Since Nuns are the Brides of Christ, this is a cuck opportunity I just CAN'T pass up!

We recently had Easter, a celebration to remind those of us who are Christian that Christ rose from the dead on the third day.  After talking with his friends for a while, he arose into Heaven on a cloud and is busy, so I'd have no trouble with Him speaking with anyone if He chose to.  When it's time for Paul to wake up from the dead, the conversation might go something like this:

Jesus:  "Wake up, Paul."

Paul:  <huge yawn>  "Yes, my king.  How long have I been sleeping anyway?  Sure glad I slept through that apocalypse.  Hm?  Chocolate?  We've got chocolate waiting in Heaven?"

  (Of course there's chocolate in Heaven.)

If the subject has no real interest for you, then don't worry about how I define Christ.  My ex-husband is Druse, and friends of mine have ranged anywhere from athiest to pagan, and from Jewish to Christian denominations...very few of us agree on anything...other than respecting each others' right to believe as they see fit.

To be a Christian actually means One who annoints with oil.

Jesus was a wise man and a healer.

Olive, Grape seed and Red Palm oil are high in nutrients but there are many oils that are full of good stuff.

Cod liver oil is one the highest sources of vitamins A & D on planet earth. (Baluga Whale brain oil is the highest source).

Herb oils are medicinal and have antiseptic properties.

If you are not healing people or educating them on good nutrition then you are not being a "GOOD" Christian.

Jesus said, "feed my sheep".

I think maybe Jesus would have joined Paul in a chorus of Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme.

Messiah means savior or liberator.

If Jesus was the messiah to the Jews then why are Jews still persecuited?

The Romans continued to persecuite the Jews after Jesus's death. Hitler murdered lots of Jews too.

What exactly was Jesus supposed to save the Jews from?

Status: offline 		maybe the best idea is for you not to try to make sense of a religion that you are not a follower of. It will never make sense. Dating somebody who didn't believe in God, I found that out the hard way.

Most Christians I know still don't understand their religion as whole. I'm a Jew For Jesus and I'll admit freely, I don't know everything. I didn't write the Torah or The Bible, none of us were actually there.

There is only but so much that can be learned from others who don't have a first hand account of something. Just like the game "Telephone". The story is always different by the time it gets to you unless you were the first or second person.

Jews are slaves, they were marked with circumcision by their father Abraham.

Abraham lied to his son on the way to the alter.

Lying is very bad and giving your son to Pharaoh is even worse.

Moses said, "FREE MY PEOPLE"

Jesus said, "Let him who has ears, hear"

Aparently the Jews did not hear Moses or Jesus. They still mark their children with circumcision.

If you do not know what you believe in then you will believe anything.

Close.  My Webster's Collegiate Dictionary says it's from a word meaning annointed.  I don't have a problem with that. 

Anyway, judging by all you've posted I'd have to assume you have a lot of issues with my having said that I'm a Christian and what my imaginary conversation between Jesus and Paul would be like.  I didn't take issue with anything anyone else said.

The questions you have could be answered by someone like a priest, or someone who has a calling to explain things.  I understand my own faith very well, but not enough so that I'm finished with my own studies.  I didn't come here today for any deep theological debate...nor to have to justify my beliefs to anyone. 

I'm not trying to make you justify yours.   If you said your faith revolved around Kermit the Frog and a full moon, I wouldn't care.

Something like this is more in keeping with this thread, and I found it amusing.  I'm glad you posted it.

Maybe someone else will be willing to debate with you, or reply to comments you made.  Maybe in a new thread.

People believe all kinds of wacky stuff.

I don't have to debate facts.

Faith is for those who do not know the facts.

I prefer to keep my beliefs based on fact.

I believe in myself and the power of intelligence.

I think anybody that would send their son to learn the facts of life from a priest should have their head examined.

Religion condones child abuse and promotes ignorance.

Jesus:  Paul why did you have to go and turn my message into a religion?  I hate religions!  Wasn't it enough to just teach people how to love each other?  I mean really Paul, that is what I was trying to get folks to understand.

Paul: Oh Jesus!  I'm so sorry!  I had no idea it would turn out like this!

Jesus:  I forgive you.  But it's gonna take a really long time to fix this mess you made.  Just sayin.
