I'll also join the meaning trumps form camp, but sometimes that gets taken to its logical extreme online.  Not only do some posts have so many typos they are painful to read, but quite often this goes hand in hand with no discernible meaning in the post itself.  At that point, I choose not to read it.  And if that's the intention, kudos to the writer.

Yours,

benji

G'day Dusty,

Aye, I agree with the Masturbate posts  However let's look at the word and what do we come up with:

Mast-ur-bate

Mast ~
Master

ur ~
you are

bate ~
bait as in fishing.

Ahhhhhh Eureka!!!!  The hidden meaning is "Master you are fishing."   Thinks of wee wiggly things swimming about after...

My favorite one I have seen has been a woman's ad that stated she really liked roll play. I guess she must have one wicked bread fetish!

Now THAT is funny!

Yes -- you, me and Iron Bear and I'm sure a lot of others are scratching their heads wondering WHY someone would say "I could care less." I mean, I just can't understand the logic of that phrase. There is no logic! Definite pet peeve.

How about "irregardless?"  While technically, it IS a word, it's not widely accepted as proper usage.  Even dictionaries say "regardless" is the proper term.

When you think about it, "regardless" means "without regard."  Therefore, "irregardless" would have to mean, "without without regard," or "with regard," due to the double negative prefix.

Point taken Lass, I've seen it used often enough when there is a huge play on words which can be an amusing mind game...I have a tendency to switch into medieval speak at times depending on whom I’m talking to, or become overly Edwardian which is something I like. However it is fair to comment that I have a passion for long flowery phrases too…. The long sonorous phrases used in lodge will always get me as well especially as they flow off the tongue like liquid honey…. .

Beloved Bear,

You must refrain from using phrases like...flow off the tounge like liquid honey...I keep losing my train of thought <sigh>

Ahhhh Darling Heart, sweetest of the sweet,   Perhaps I could have rephrased it to read something like:   “The tongue caresses the words and strokes each one to create a sound which resonates with power and yet also with the passion and emotion as a woman in her throws of passion, both of which have the full force of latent power of orgasmic release behind them….”
