It's almost enough to make me want to get a pink hello kitty t-shirt and undies, pink fuzzy slippers and leave my management job to go wait tables
Promise you'll send me photos [;)]

If I ever wear an outfit like that I will dig up this thread and post it for all to see. Especially kevie!

Here is a handy list of appropriate vs inappropriate jobs for a "Domme woman."

Appropriate:

Vague international business woman doing vague international business-type-things in a pair of spiky heeled Miu Mius and a leather skirt.

Hey! I kinda resemble that ;-)

Btw Kevin, what makes me good at what I do, is my leadership abilities and not my dominance.

Exactly what does someone's personal life have to do with earning a paycheck?

Nothing-if you read later he only said that stuff to allow others to 'tear it down with the contempt it deserves' [8|]

Lockit -> RE: Why would a Domme Woman look for a submissive work role (5/13/2010 5:12:28 PM)

Damn! In one line Lady Pact has answered it all! Kevin doesn't have a pay check and doesn't have a personal life! There is no way he can understand it!

I think that's exactly the point he's trying to make.

Of course it is. See, for kevvie, this is a win win situation. Not only does he get to jam all women into his obsessive, kevvie approved little boxes (something he tries to do with pretty much every thread he starts), but he also has an excuse for obtaining what he considers 'low level' employment. You know, since he's a sub and all. [8|]

One more time, kevvie.... not that I expect this to sink in or anything:
Women, Domme or not, are individuals! The number one reason that you keep getting your ass handed to you on the boards is your obsession with categorizing shoes, clothes, jobs, cars, breakfast cereal, and just about everything else as 'Domme' or 'not Domme', then trying to force the women here into the appropriate little boxes.  We've seen the world according to kevvie, and it sucks.

The next time a thread idea beginning with "Do Dommes", "Should a Domme", "Why would a Domme", or anything similar enters your little pea picking head, stop. What you are doing (again) is objectifying dominant women, trying to smoosh individuals into your narrow little preconceived idea of what a Domme should look, talk, act, and dress like. You may not have noticed, but doing so invariably pisses off said women. Get it through your head, kevin: THERE... IS... NO...FUCKING...RULEBOOK! The little checklist in your cranium means exactly nothing in the real world.

DarkSteven -> RE: Why would a Domme Woman look for a submissive work role (5/13/2010 7:45:58 PM)

Cuz they want the paycheck.

I'm a Dom man and I work in a job that's not Dominant at all.  It pays bills.

See, men have tried to put little boxes around women since they grabbed our hair and pulled us into the man cave. Fill her belly and keep it filled and she has to stay in the man cave because everyone knows once a man has claimed her and taken her to his man cave, no one else will want her. He controls her and all that goes on in the man cave.

Kevin just wants us in little boxes that are easier for him to understand. Not unlike the cave man that thought to keep his cave warm with the little woman, kevin wants a warm cave. Only he wants the woman to club him on the head and drag him into her woman cave. Since women fought for the right to own a woman cave and go out and work to pay for the woman cave and they found worthy men to hit over the head and bring home to the cave and kevin isn't being picked, he has to claim that something is very wrong with the women who won't hit him, poke him with her heels and keep him in her cave.

It is too hard for him to understand that we do far more than wear heels, boss men around, abuse them, take their money and own our own caves. It boggles his mind and then he has to find a way to reason it all out. Which he cannot do so he has to torment others because he is tormented.

It won't end until he finds a woman to pull him into her cave and then he will bitch because she's so friggin old, because surely only a woman with dementia would open her cave to him. Some might be willing to hit him over the head and drive away in their taxi's, but no one is going to offer him a cave to dwell in.

Give me about twenty years kevin, if I am not too weak, I might hit you over the head, drag you to my cave and order an earthquake to cave us in. Then I can be god because I saved the world from us both.

Sorry everyone, but I don't plan on going any sooner.

Exactly. That was another point I meant to make. I work in the job I do (partly) because it makes good money. And I feel soooo submissive when that fat check goes directly into Master's bank account[;)]

Do Domme Women who look for submissive employment roles strike you as peculiar. In other words are they not really betraying themselves and their nature by doing this even if they are very hard up financially and clients are not coming to them because of the economy. Should Domme Women not go for management roles? Or are Domme Women right? After all a job such as a receptionist or an administrator is a bit low grade, its not managerial but a job is a job. Opinions please people

I foresee your next question as, "How could a Domme woman get laid off? If she were really in control, she'd be firing her coworkers!"

I have respect for all workers who are competent at their jobs, and I also have sympathy for the American worker, because the American workplace is humbling experience.

OP.... you are a twatwaffle. That is my opinion.

Check the way you worded your first post. It made you sound like like a moron, just like most of your posts. Pay closer attention to how you say things.

Hmm. Does one serve twatwaffles with twatsyrup and twatbutter or only twatstrawberries and twatwhipped cream?

Kevin, here's a newsflash: ALL jobs are submissive. Why? Because if you're employed, you automatically submit to someone else's authority. People who own their own businesses submit to their clients. CEOs submit to their shareholders. Honestly, Kevin, if your mind were any narrower blood would spurt out your ears.

Good god, V - can you be saying that even the job of being a pro-domme makes her submissive?

Oh, I've always maintained that a pro-domme is the employee of her client.

You will note, however, that I said all jobs are submissive, not that all people who have jobs are submissive. Changing my words around will result in my withholding your Hershey bars from you, so'd you'd better behave.

Kevin

What about we reframe the question......

Everyone, do you feel that a man who refuses to take a job that he feels is beneath him or too low paid and thus remains out of paid employment is peculiar?  Do you think this leads to them spending way too much time online living a fantasy life with no basis in reality?  Why would a Domme ever be interested in this type of person?  How can they be a real submissive?

Discuss [:)]

I'd like to reply to you, but my laundry is dominating me at the moment, and I have to go submissively fold it. [:D]
