Why not jail people who hire illegals while we are at it?

I very much agree, companies should not profit because of hiring people that are getting slave wages... and in fact sometimes these outfits don't pay wages at all, they stiff illegals for the pay they owe them

My condo association just booted a lawncare company who was using illegals at the end of April. We simply told them we wouldn't be renewing the contract because of "legal" issues. They got the point. Now we have another co. who uses local labor which is not hard to get because of the 14-17% unemployment rate in this area. I'm on the board and told the co. owner that we don't care if he uses people in" work release" as long as he doesn't use illegals and he said fine. U.S. Citizens getting out of prison need a chance to make a paycheck too. And they're real strict in the state of S. Carolina, there was a probation officer here checking on one or two of them to make sure they were in fact working. I agree, "enforce the laws" and we won't have this problem. A fish rots from the head down.
