Indeed...and it is at times no fun at all to keep going with working the butt off... In regards to your comment about they don't pay their fair share...quite frankly I do hope that my ex leaves this country once he retires (he wants to retire in his 50s which would mean in 5-10 years time) as for example I don't agree with it how much council tax people have to pay over here on top of their rent every month...for him it is normal, but I think I already achieved that he sees the point that he could save that money when he would leave the country once he retires. And as he owes property abroad he at least had the thought in the past that he could retire to there once his career will be over. yes, he has money like mad and I consider myself lucky to know that he can help me out easily whenever I crash down financially for whatever reason (though doesn't mean he helps out easily, he makes sure I hate it when I have to ask him for help and I know he only helps me out as he knows he will get it back...though he makes damn sure to give me grief when I need help from him again). Now....do I think he should pay that much more than the average earner? Quite frankly not. That debate was already over a decade ago when back in my country Boris Becker moved to switzerland to avoid having to pay huge taxes...would I want to pay a fortune on tax when I worked my butt off to get to where I would be? I doubt. I see it on my ex how he works like mad. I remember countless cancelled meetings with him as any major server crashed down in his own business, which he had to fix or due to whatever unexpected meeting came up in his political career. I recently met him and could see how he lost a lot of weight from all the campaigning he did to be re-elected again at the elections here. He would not be where he is without his dedication to his work. He knows where he wants to be in his fifties and he does all necessary steps to achieve to get there. That does not mean to me that he should pay more it only means to me that he should not have access to as many loopholes as he has to save even more money. Also I know quite a few people in the past who said "why do you have to pay him back?" so for them it would be a great idea that I just keep the money I owe him...well, quite frankly, thats called ripping someone off and it took me years until my ex stopped blaming me to be like some of his ex. He knows I pay him off every penny and he knows I pay him off with interest which he never asks me to. So receiving still his help only works as he knows he can trust me. Last but not least many people who earn a lot took on a lot of risk to get there as well. Before my ex went into politics here he had 2 companies. One he had bought from his boss, after that guy retired and after paying him rent over several years for using the company that person had successfully build up and the second company he did build up on his own. He took on the risk to invest as much money as he did to owe that company at the end and had no guarantee that it will bring him the outcome he desired and if it would have gone wrong he would be bankrupt these days...so quite frankly people who earn much worked damn hard to get there and also often invested a lot of risk to get there...and therefore quite frankly I disagree that they should pay more....everyone should pay the equal share to the society depending on what they earn...not more...and not less.... therefore whilst he has a lot of money, it did not fall onto him overnight and he also would not have it if he would have used it in careless spending in the past...every lifestyle has its price to pay.

Kevin...one last thing (and an apology to the op for the derail).... The two ladies above did not say what they went through to get where they are. I am aware of their fields and know their job training requires working while attending classes. The job training requires a ton of paperwork which is done on their own time...and that time is shared with studying, eating, and sleeping, and what little social life they had time for. They are probably two of the many you envy, but trust me, they worked their asses off.

If you don't like it, then take your ass to another site. The delete and block button are there for a reason. Yes, some profiles are a joke, but they might just resonate with one person. What you may consider a timewaster and fake might just be what someone is looking for. There are some very well written profiles by a variety of people. And there are some people who get off on making others cringe. The rude messages I get are deleted then blocked. It's quite simple really, two clicks and they're out of your life. I don't have to pass them on to my friends, I know they have better things to do. I have better things to do. I haven't been on the boards for years, but I know that after even a few months there's some silly ass stuff that goes on and should just be ignored. This is one of those times, although the posts make it worthwhile reading another "somebody done me wrong" thread.

The bottom line is this, if your ex earns $500,000 or more , he should pay more according to what he earns, yes he should pay an extra $50,000, if on 500,000 an extra million if on 10 million etc. And why? a ) because he can afford it and b) because it shows LEADERSHIP.. Something which is sadly lacking among our so called leaders. No the extra 10% wont collectively get us out of the economic mess but it will mean that those who are struggling through no fault of their own with bills, mortgages etc on top of the extra levies will be paying LESS. Its also called giving back to the society that gave you these opportunities in the first place. And no matter what anyone says people who are earning huge money now are FORTUNATE. They were promoted by the decision of another which in many cases has proved to be incorrect given the general mismanagement of the economy by those who should have known better and now results in the low and middle income earners paying for the mistakes of their bosses while the low and middle income earners pay double with the loss of their jobs in many cases too. And this sanctimonious rubbish about working hard. Do you think anyone in their right mind wouldnt give their right arm to be able to go to meetings and get paid for it, particularly the handsome money that the top men and women get and have the comfort that if things go wrong they can sack their employees while they stay in situ? Because whether we like or not that is what has happened. And you cant disagree with me on that. And as for Boris Becker shame on him , to leave his country in the lurch ,, leaving his fellow countrymen, many on much less than him to pick up the tab for his indulgences. Shame on him kevin

And for your information darling, the money that i or anyone else for that matter gets for social welfare is NOT your money. Let me repeat. i am NOT entitled to social welfare currently. And let me repeat again. Social welfare in the republic of ireland is NOT your money NOT your money. It is simply the return of the taxes which the social welfare recipient PAID TAXES WHICH THE SOCIAL WELFARE RECIPIENT PAID NOT YOU, im sorry but im afraid that people are very difficult to get through to and im just trying to get it through thick skulls which obviously arent registering the information a lot of the time. In fact instead of asking about me or others taking YOUR money , which is quite obviously NOT your money, you would be better asking my and other former employers particularly in the private which are still making MULTI MILLIONS why they chose to sack workers just because they are making SLIGHTLY LESS money than heretofore, but at a time when they are still making COMFORTABLY many millions of dollars and can COMFORTABLY that word again afford to pay these employees. if you dont know the answer i will give you a clue it is to do with that five letter word beginning with g and ending with d, yes you got it, it s called GREED which is the cancer that caused our economy to collapse the greed of companies to make more and more and when they were not making THEIR expectations of what they wanted, what they do , they sack the employees who helped build up their profits in the first place. The problem that all you guys share is that you dont like the truth which is that the greed of companies has caused this recession and has scuppered the lives of millions. MILLIONS. which is really surprising given that many of you are not in the league of wealth, i wager that most of these guys and Women are who made the decisions that scuppered our economies.
