Came across a Christian/BDSM website, just wanted to know , those who are Christian, Catholic or believe in God and are of other religious affiliation as there is more than one religious group that believes in God, but if You are a believer , how do You fit the concept of being a Femdom, with the idea of having slaves serving You, with the concept of believing in a God who was man and who is supreme over all. Are you uncomfortable with the idea of God being male or is this a perversity that are You happy with , safe in the knowledge that You are happy living what some vanilla folk might consider a perverse life or Do You even consider it a contradiction, maybe its totally normal to You to be a Femdom and believe in God, did religion play a role in You deciding to be a Femdom, do You think this is what God's plan was for You all along. Actually, in defence of Kevin, I was also taught that God was male. When I did the sign of the cross, I said "In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit". In addition, the first prayer I learned was "Our Father" Fathers, as far as I know, have typically been male. I went to a Catholic wedding recently and they still say this so I figure they are still teaching that he is male, at least in the Catholic church. - LA

I grew up catholic and this is one of the reasons i no longer practise - we are attempting to cram God into a little mold we have - who are we to declare that God is male or female? Just because that is all we know doesn't mean that is all there is. I don't see God as male or female, i see God as all, and not as a human-like figure. If our puny little minds need to make God a human then in my mind she is the best parts of both man and woman - and not in a physical sense. I also don't believe that we can definitively say what God wants, as in, if we act a certain way, or believe a certain thing then we get to go to heaven. I find it very presumptuous of humans to limit God.

No. Evil is a very obscure concept. Not what the liberal media tell you or should i say the gutter press. Someone kills someone or a group in a random vicious attack and they are suddenly, priests who have abused children are suddenly evil, a killer goes on the rampage, Hitler was evil. All of this is complete nonsense. There is no such thing as evil. Evil is only committed when the person knows in their heart that what they are doing is contrary to their conscience and yet they go ahead and do it. Nobody can decide anyone's views of right and wrong for them. It is up to the individual person. As long as you are not behaving in a manner which is contrary to your conscience then you are not evil in my book and nobody can accuse you of being an evil person because nobody has control over what that person is feeling deep down only the person themselves kevin

Of course, people do like to avoid historical references when it suits any kind of oppression. Biblically, Jesus quoted God as being female, as well as male when using 'analogies' (like father, mother, hen etc). It's history and patriarch society that has left out key phrases. Jesus is noted in stating that God is spirit. Whether spirit can have gender is not something that anyone can be sure about with any certainty. the.dark.
