No, no. Please don't be offended by assuming what I'm assuming. I was asking questions.

And both respondents (including you) to my question don't want to address what I said in the first place. "Since he's been president." Why you get to do this? Turn it all ass over head, what president hasn't had to redress his campaign rhetoric? Read my lips, baby.

My last question was, "how does his leadership impact your opinion of him?"

I don't understand the fear of him. I don't understand the attitude that he hates America or will work to harm us. I believe that he believes and works toward our greater good. And, as I've said before, I believe he will continue to shock the shit out of his detractors with accomplishments and graciousness and strong leadership that matters in the grand history.

What leadership? He has the country completely polarized. Candidates he stumps for lose. A woman at a town hall asks him a question and gets a 17 minute soliloquy, instead of 16 other people getting a chance to ask something. Did it take a full year for his approval rating to drop from the 70 range, to below 50?

He's the same person as President that he was when I decided I couldn't support his candidacy. Care to address any of what I brought up in the post?

No, I'm not going to argue his campaign promises, just as you wouldn't want to argue Dubya or his daddy's campaign promises. Different aminals.

The country is polarized because of his race and because he does less pandering to tow the line than politicians usually do. A perfect example is the impetus of this thread. Obama told the press ahead of time he would'n't be engaging in a press conference. They tried anyway; their job to do so. He stuck by what he said. They got pissy (which is not their job).

Dealio is, the man is a MAN. That's my opinion. He takes responsibility, he addresses multiples of issues and he means what he says. With Dubya, you could practically see somebody else's lips move. He didn't know dick. He was whiney and mealy-mouthed and didn't believe himself. He didn't even want the freaking job, he just wanted to make dad happy (first term)/and then vindicate/slash/show up daddy (second term).

History will castigate Dubya. This I believe.

Obama will, like with health care reform, accomplish in spite of naysayers, odds, polls, etc.

My opinion, blah, etc.

Then, Tee, we are just going to have to agree to disagree.

Have a great night.

Obama will hold a news conference from the East Room of the White House on Thursday at 12:45 p.m. Pacific Time

I guess we'll get to see how it goes, huh? I'll be sure to take a late lunch tomorrow, so I can watch.

servantforuse -> RE: Obama Avoids Tough Questions from Press, Again (5/26/2010 7:09:00 PM)

He is having a press conference tomorrow, May 27th. Maybe he will explain why Rahm Emanuel or someone else in his administration offered Sestac the job of Navy Secretary .

I wonder how many questions he'll take, and if he'll call on any of the  reporters who are known to throw hard balls.

Not Chris Mathews hard balls, real hard balls.
