edited to add: Gawd, I just looked up two posts, do I really have to read the whole thing? whoops was that out loud?

No problem, still would have been wrong once you talked about the service people., This is the best place for it, and working my way backwards on the numerous posts Im pulling. Fair warning, to those that disappear because it appears there will be a lot., If you don't know why your post was pulled in this thread, and would like to contact me, I will be happy to address it individually. Otherwise, I will assume you will know why it was pulled and not have any questions.

I wouldn't want to step on any toes but is it okay if I pick up the slack even though I'm not from the Southern States?

sure.  just remember that bless and heart have 2 syllables each when it is said..
[:D]

But "eh" still has only one, Zeph!

*nods*

Even in New England, it's "eh-yup."

No it's ay-uh. Trust me, I'm a 5th generation Mainer. I have heard it my entire life. I refrain from using it.[:'(].

Musicmystery -> RE: Airlines: questions, comments and complaints (5/22/2010 9:35:34 PM)

i hope those that are pulled are the individual attacks, the ones that don't have anything to do with the topic at hand, Ms. if not, i understand. i will always have my stalkers/flamers/attackers...that's a given. [:)]

Did you remember to tell her that the phrase "bless your heart" means the same as "fuck you bitch"?

Musicmystery -> RE: Airlines: questions, comments and complaints (5/22/2010 9:38:57 PM)

that's ok too, i wish there was a way for individuals to be able to completely pull their own posts...would make life easier there also :)

Musicmystery -> RE: Airlines: questions, comments and complaints (5/22/2010 10:01:38 PM)

Pulling your post....there's an interesting euphemism...

[:D]

VideoAdminAlpha -> RE: Airlines: questions, comments and complaints (5/22/2010 10:04:32 PM)

I'm glad it meets with your approval.

The "short" of it is THIS:

The mere existance of the military, regardless of where they are or what they are doing is defending our country. You don't have to agree with where they are or what they are doing. As it has been pointed out to you several times, our men and women in uniform are following orders on where they go.

If you stretch a definition so far that it means almost anything, it eventually reaches a point where it means almost nothing. This definition is getting pretty close to that line, at least in the context of the OP.

quote:

ORIGINAL: LafayetteLady
Regardless of that, I also personally believe that those who can't manage to respect our military personnel for what they are doing shouldn't have the rights that the military manages to keep available to them and possibly need to go somewhere else.

Then I would say that you have absolutely no understanding of the rights the military is defending, and little or no respect for the military personnel and what they are doing. I wouldn't go so far as to say you don't deserve to benefit from those rights, of course - but I would say that they are to a large degree wasted on you, because you do not understand or respect them.

SirPumpy -> RE: Arilines: questions, comments and complaints (5/23/2010 12:25:28 AM)

I want to know why Australian Soldiers are on active duty in Afghanistan fighting the Axis of Evil.

I blame Canada

I know, Panda. No matter how hard I try it cannot be stretched to two syllables. A Southern accent doesn't help either [:D]

They should NOT be boarded first, especially ahead of those needing assistance or the handicapped.

As one who needs assistance boarding planes, I would just like to say that it doesn't matter worth a fuck whether military personel board before or after me. Funny thing, whether they board before or after me, the plane still leaves at the same time and I am no more or less in pain.

mikey.....bless your heart

Already well aware of that, thanks taz. Somehow it just doesn't have the same effect here in Quebec. Go figure
