I'm going to ignore all the snarking fromn both sides (myself included, I think, but I can't quite remember) and directly address this post, because I didn't respond directly to it at the time and there are a couple of things I assumed someone else would say but seem not to have come up.

(This next paragraph sounds aggressive. Bear in mind that it isn't-I'm being blunt but I'm not in any way angry, ok? I just don't really want to tone down the language, hence this disclaimer.)
If you're a lurker (which up until now you have been) you don't benefit me anything. You sit there and absorb the content without giving anything back. I therefore am not really that bothered about your opinion of the content, apart from the innate dislike of being criticised that *everyone* has. If you don't participate then IMO you don't get a say in the running of the thing.

If you were to participate in the boards in a positive way then you could balance up the actions of the 'CM Clique', but you have chosen not to do that. Instead your first post is a blunt attack. I'm going to go against what I said before and reference something after this post. You're an adult, you must *know* people do not respond well to blunt attacks.
What happened with your post is that you failed to 'be the change you want to see' [another vomit break, but the sentiment is valid]. You basically pointed a finger and said 'you guys are nasty' in a very nasty way, and then acted surprised when people were nasty to you as a result. Bottom line: you generated a whole load more of the negativity you complained about. This isn't primary school. If you want to complain about how there is no intellectual dialogue you don't get to throw tantrums and expect to be taken seriously.

Before that there had been some light snarking from sunshine, a request from VAA to remove the photo followed by a post from VAA saying she had removed the photo and some talking between holly and sunshine. The OP could have accepted that a site admin had determined her picture (which *clearly* violated TOS) unacceptable and decided that the charity was her primary concern on this thread, but she didn't-she chose to post the above instead.
The 'treatment; she got wasn't anyting to do with the charity; it was to do with the way she abandoned the charity and got aggressive.
