ORIGINAL: Arpig This comes as no surprise to me...the bill that was passed did nothing to resolve the underlying problems in the American health care system, sure it slapped a few band aids on (the pre-existing condition stuff), but it basically forced everybody to buy over priced health insurance with no mechanism in place to reduce those costs, nor did it do anything to reign in the costs of actual medical treatment. It was a waste of the paper it was printed on, and likely put back real sensible reform by 10 to 20 years. You got it. This happens typically in our plutocracy...no real reform. Reform in our society is a re-arrangement of profits. Without the public option, the opposition knew this was really the best of all worlds. Still got great profits rolling in yet it is something to rail against and used so health care can be reformed again...for more profits.
