Grins well not really with dick bulgingout  but you have seen speedo's right?

I'm just cranky and irritable and I got hurt today too. I sat down and the sharp corner of a cutting table stabbed into my shoulder which made me cry.

A 300+ lb man has NO business in a speedo!

I have a friend of long standing still living in Western Australia who is over 300 lbs, built like a brick shithouse, well toned and well musscled and a sixc pac which a few other body builder would die for.. His bathers are smaller then speedos and he looks damned good in them... The problem is the size of what his togs try to hide.... At the nudist beach, a lot of guys used to hate him and their women drooled .... BOL.... Would that I had that problem  (WEG)

Okay, 300+ lb FAT men have no business in speedos.  Neither do 50+yo men unless they are fit and toned. (jmo)
and I'm in the 50+ yo group... Don't wear speedo type suits.

You've obviously never been to the Jersey shore.

I've been to the Jersey shore....love it!  I don't care what anyone wears as long as they are enjoying themselves and I do wish the human body was not something to cover up in this culture.  I do wish there was a nude beach here on the shores of Lake Erie.

At any rate, I do not have advice on where to find a suit, however if you do find one and you want to make it last, here is a tip someone gave me at the gymn I go to the other day.  There is a pool there and I had been swimming and a woman complimented me on my suit.  I replied on how I was disappointed it was losing stretch already and she, who had been a swimming coach, told me that whenever you buy a new suit...soak it in vinegar and it does something to the fiber which will prevent the elastic from breaking down as fast from heat and chlorine as it normally would.

So if you do have to spend more on a suit, perhaps you can at least make it last longer.  I spent $85 on a 1X  last year and as I said....it was only good for one season in the pool before it began breaking down.   I have taken to going topless and just wearing a bikini bottom at the beach.  I don't care...if they don't like it, they don't have to look.

hahah I wish the human body wasn't so stigma'd either.  however if I went in just swim suit bottoms and no top I'd be told either by the police to put a top on or be taken into jail you can't do that in sacramento.

Have you bought from this store Phoenix? I saw them once about last year and I had admired how pretty the suits are but I am dead set against buying clothing online. I am extreamly anal retentive I HAVE YES HAVE TO try things on before buying. I have to like hjow it looks, how it fits, how it feels and I have to feel I look good if not acceptable in it. I also want to be able to take it back with ease if there's a defect in quality. And you can't do any of those things when you buy online.

Last time I went to a nudist beach (years ago), was told to cover up and wear a hat on my closely cut crew cut, not because of any excess weight (which I didn't have then abnd was body building and bloody fit) but because I scared the shit outa folks with the scar running from front to back on my head (72 stitches) and the two large scars one on each hip when two seperate shrapnel hits took hunks outa me and a cresent scar on my left thigh where a piece chopper blade hit me on my 21st B/day (All scars except my head one curtisy to the VC)

about 2 years ago ish now I was able to get a nice tank tini from motherhood maternity in a size 3 x but now I'm much bigger, does any one know  jst how big maternity sizes go? I'm going on vacation and joe will want me to get into the pool with him and I have ZERO to swim in:(

Places like fashion bug charge like 70 bucks or more for shitty swim suits I bought one from them originally right size and everything and in one wear the stitching poped out of the top:(

A friend of mine suggested this site if you don't mind ordering one.

Trust me, Motherhood Maternity is more expensive now than Lane Bryant.  I'm realizing the fun of finding maternity clothes that don't cost much.  (It's not much fun).  I'm a size twelve normally but I have really big hips and shoulders, and I'm a sixteen right now, so I shop at both stores.  Lane Bryant's all around cheaper.  Then again, I'm a clearance shopper.

Do you have norwegian or dutch ancestors?

Nope.  Native American, French, Irish, and Scottish.  That's all.  I got a combination of my Mom and Dad's height (Dad's 6' 4", Mom's 5') and my Mom's curves, so it's hard sometimes to find clothes because I'm in that lovely in between stage.  As to the hips and shoulders thing, I've a very hourglass sillhouette, and they just don't build clothes for that type of frame anymore.

Yep.... Something about the scars detracted from the over all pleasing look of the place...

Probably. I'm not a "Beachy" person at the best of times and only go with a group when I v]run out of ways to avoid it without hurting others... For me the beach is good for one thing.. Fishing.... Give me an open ocean beach with no people and I'm happy   The ocean is good for three things  Fishing, Diving and Viewing.....  I usually have other things I'd rather be doiig than spending days on the beach or falling off surf boards... (never have been able to stand on one).. I guess I'm an Unaustralian Aussie regarding not enjoying the beach..

That's really sad.  I thought the credo of nudism was for everyone to enjoy being unencumbered by clothing regardless of appearance.  I wonder if they would have made the same request of a burn victim or been more likely to pick on someone with "offensive" tattoos.  One way or another, we all wear stories on our skin, and it disgusts me that they censored yours of brave sacrifice.  I think you deserve the ultimate in respect for all you went through serving your country.

A boyfriend once tried to drag me to a nudist colony on the grounds of fostering self-acceptance.  I ultimately got him to admit , however, that he really just wanted to ogle strangers' bodies and needed me to get in because single male weren't allowed.  Your experience just reinforces my decision to keep nakedness behind closed doors.

My former owner weighs 325 lbs and had two very seductive bikinis.  A slave's dream.

If I happen to be somewhere and I've forgotten my suit I opt for t-shirt/tank and shorts. Easy enough and cheap too.

About fashion bug suits. I have one that I've had for, oh, 4-5 years that has held up beautifully! I still wear it to the lake but it's started to fade. Last year I bought a new one from fashion bug and within a couple of months the hem stitching came out all around the bottom...I guess it depends on the style/manufacturer. Also, unfortunately my lane bryant doesn't carry swimsuits. But I do see they have some online and a few are on sale even.

To the poster who mentioned refraining from swimming. Why? It's some of the best exercise there is! Good for the joints too! I don't let anyone else's opinion of my figure keep me from enjoying the water...

Ms A I found a beautifill swim suit at irene's fashions at large, it's a 34w and low and behold IT'S A BIT TO BIG!!!!!! Yes I said a bit to big. hehe. It has buttons on the strap so I can make the straps longer or shorter, and it's a very pretty blue with black "flames"  I showed it to my bf and his responce was a very apreciative uh huh! Which translates into he likes he likes.
