ORIGINAL: LadyCimarron Thanks for the link. That was an excellent read. While reading it I couldn't help but wonder why people think that if you work in hollywood you could not possibly be an intellectual. You mean like Cato Kalin? His lawyer told him to wear glasses so he'd, "look smart." Hollywood is all about "sizzle" not "steak." Sure, lets get some "special effects" people down there to do some fake explosions! That'll help! And if I need an operation I want none other than "House's" Hugh Laurie doing my surgery! How about Danica Mckellar? She is an actress AND she is a mathmatical genius who created and proved her own theorem. No, not everyone in hollywood is a genius, but not everyone is a dummy either. If they are smart and have something to contribute, use them. Lady Cimarron, if your're going to be talking about brain power "Hollywood" is *probably* not a good source. For every "Danica Mc Kellar" there's a few thousand "Ashley Cutchlys". ("where's my car dude!") The national high school dropout rate is probably in the 40-50 %'s, it's *considerably* higher in S. Calif. At one of those "Star parties" if George Bush were to walk in he'd be the "genious" there! Scary! I saw a list of actors a few years ago and most of them didn't graduate high school. I didn't say "everyone" in Hollywood, just most of them. Sure, someone with high intelligence and good looks will sneak through once in a while. And no, I wouldn't want Danica Mc Kellar doing my surgery either.
