We have removed damn near every top tier predator so that we may walk about town in relative safety. With the absence of Jaguars and sea lions there is so little excitement when we jump off the ice and head off to run our lives.

It would be something that as we head off to work that John from accounting was swooped away by a pterodactyl. That would make life a little more precious.


Thank you Joran Van Der Sloot for making life a little more exciting.

True, I'm just speculating. Sadly the truth may never come out, only time will tell. Given that his father has apparently bailed him out in the past, the chances are good that there are other victims we may never know about unless he confesses....highly unlikely unless the authorities make a deal in order to recover the bodies or new evidence is uncovered.

Frankly he makes my skin crawl. Just goes to show how careful we need to be.

The bozo just made the contents of the laptop evidence, and the cops will get access to them.  Then the Aruban authorities can demand it under discovery.

I'm not 100% certain that he is a sociopathic killer.  I think there's a chance that he's a druggie who finances his jones by murder and theft.

Steven...he may be a druggie, but i do think he is a serial killer. The fact that he "celebrated" the day he killed Natalee Holloway by killing another is all the proof i need. Whereas there is a huge probability he has killed others, Holloway was his finest moment. The others he killed brought him no glory nor attention. Young Natalee's death had him arrested twice and he walked both times. No doubt he felt tremendously superior for having outsmarted the investigators and celebrates his victory on that anniversary.

I consider it likely that his father said to him: "Drug and pick me up one of them attractive young blond tourists and I will give you two-hundred dollars". I suspect that his father had intercourse with her and that in an unguarded moment she accidentally died, perhaps from suffocating in her own vomit. Now it is one thing for an adult man to be tried for manslaughter and another for a juvenile to be tried for manslaughter. So the son took the blame instead of the father. For some reason also the corpse should not be found at their house, nor the cause of death be discovered, so the son set out a false trail to the beach. Later he also seems to have made a career in trafficking women.

Status: offline 		Interesting theory, Rule.  Note that human trafficking is lucrative, and the little shit seems to be constantly broke.  The police's first theory is that his latest was done for robbery.  Again, I suspect drugs. 

holly, I agree that he's a serial killer.  And he probably is a sociopath too, but I'm not 100% convinced.

I actually hope not...at least not until he serves his full sentence there. Their prisons are so much more "fitting" for a guy like him.

I have no idea why he murdered her. I suspect no one ever will. All he ever does is lie.

Money seems to me to be a weak motivation. How stupid can one be to murder someone for money in one's own hotel room? He may have murdered her in a crack rage. He may have murdered - I am speculating - in a rage when she made fun of him for not being able to get an erection.

I rather doubt it. Very few countries extradite to the USA when there is a murder involved.

I dunno.  He's got a long jail time ahead of him in Peru first.  Depending on what comes up when the laptop is viewed, maybe in Aruba as well.  And his attitude will likely get the snot beat out of him.
