i dont really know what got this all started, but can we lay off the flamewar please? i was hoping this would be a nice, peaceful thread where i could get some advice. And to those of y/You that have given advice/opinions, thank y/You for y/Your time, and i appreciate the input. i've pretty much decided that i am not going to cancel my appointment, and i think i will enjoy myself immensely. i'll be as polite and courteous as i can, and do everything i can to impress, but i won't get my hopes up. Unfortunatley prodommes are a touchy subject on here, and invariably the same crew of male subs (usually with a vanilla wife or girlfriend) who can't find a lifestyle domme (go figure) and have little to no real time experience (no matter how much they profess to hate online) yet are experts on what is "real" and "not real" step in to make sure you know that the big bad prodommes are in fact heartless businesswomen that shouldn't be allowed to exist. Fortunately there are a lot more enlightened (and often experienced) people around that, whether or not they are pros or would go to pros, acknowledge that there are decent aspects of the profession and that while prodomming is a different beast than being in a lifestyle relationship, it certainly has it's place, fulfills a need, and there are certainly a lot of good prodommes out there. I think you should keep your appointment and ENJOY yourself. You should consider that while tipping isn't necessary, it's always appreciated. Myself, I'm going to go get a pedicure tomorrow. My pedicurist is obviously a bad person because she expects me to pay for her services so perhaps she's not a real pedicurist because she does this as a profession and is not, I don't believe, a lifestyle pedicurist. I suppose I could ask her out and see if she would do my pedicures on a lifestyle basis, but I have to be honest, I'm really not ready to commit to one pedicurist. I also think ultimately that it would probably cost me more to court her than to just pay her for her services, and there's no guarantee that if I was seeing her on a lifestyle basis that I could get the pedicures I want when I want them. But what the hell, it feels good when she massages my feet, and my toes look great afterwards, so overall I'm not too concerned whether it's a real pedicure or not.
