If the facts are independently verifiable and unchallenged,it doesn`t matter where they appear, left or right.Credibility is credibility, period.People just want to know what`s up/

From BP,we`ve gotten nothing but lies upon lies, awesomely staged PR vids and the run-around.The amounts leaking aren`t reliable, the amounts captured aren`t either. The only thing we can even have a reasonable guess on is that it`s much much worse the BP lead us to believe at 1st.

I`ve already faulted Obama for trusting BP and being to trusting in general. He didn`t know that it`s leaking an Exxon Valdes, every 8 fucking days.

Are the cons suggesting<snicker> that McGramps wouldn`t also have been duped by BP?

Would he be any less clueless or irrational during this crisis than he was during bush`s economic crisis?

Again,to show that Obama`s critics come to the table empty handed:

What are your solutions and how should one fix the gusher 5000 feet down?

Obviously you conservatives feel you can do better.

Show us.

I am saying that Palin had a lot of face to face dealing with BP. They are a huge player on the north Slope of AK. So yes she would not have been such a fool as to trust BPs numbers unquestioningly. She has imposed (and collected) hundreds of thousands(if not millions ) of dollars in Fines on BP.

And why exactly do you keep running away from the fact that if Obama had accepted foriegn aid immediatly there would be less oil in the water, NOW?

I do realise it is better to repeat your mantra that Canda requires 2 back up wells, and pretend no one answered you......it's really all you got.

I guess you missed the part where Panda pointed out that was a bad story by Reuters.

If another government had taken over an american company emergency in their waters , the US would have nuked the country by now.

Wow where to start. First of all BP isn't an american Company. Its British.
Its our water. Only the house can impeach.
we did not nuke Venezual when it nationalised an American Ocmpany Assets, nor Iran or...

There was no need to "overtake a corparations bussiness". "(overtake" must mean something else in your country.. cause its jibberish in American English.

And bringing in Dutch Skimmers would not have required any taking from BP.

Basically your whole post is nonsense. That is becasue you can't actually respond to the points raised.

Then they would be bashing Obama for that too.

Look what they did when Obama saved GM?

I don`t think cons were inerested in saving GM as much as bashing Obama.

I don`t think they`re as interested in the gulf that much either,as much as they are in bashing the President.

We would hear some solutions by now, if they were concerned about the gulf.

But its far better to repeat the Left Wing Media LIE that Canada requires 2 backup wells. It's like pretending Iraq is under Sharia Law. Just lies spewed by partisan trolls.

Who said that? I have never seen anyone make that claim.

So - who, exactly, is the liar again?

You're right, I misread that. Apparently someone is spreading the rumor though.

I wonder where 059 got it from?

The Reuters story that he linked in his OP. It was inaccurate. In addition, CNN has been reporting the exact same thing as recently as last Thursday or Friday. I'm guessing they got it from Reuters and didn't bother checking their facts, but the upshot is there are probably a lot of people who have read or heard that misinformation over the last few weeks. Very irresponsible reporting.

It's been going around.

A caller mentioned it on an NPR show a few weeks ago, but the guests (oil execs) immediately set him straight.
