quote:
In other words, rational faith is rooted in one’s own experiences, thoughts, observations, and judgments. Irrational faith, on the other hand, is the acceptance of something as true only because an authority or the majority say it is. quote:
faith in our senses, faith in our reason, faith in our memories, and faith in the accounts of events we receive from others. Accordingly, faith is seen as essential to and inseparable from rationality. These are pretty good examples. More along the same faith that i will wake up in the morning, that i will still have a job, that the bus will be on time, that my restaurant will have customers, that my son adores me, that the cat will be waiting for me when i get home, that i remember what to do in a delivery of an infant, that i remember how to accurately take a blood pressure, that i can still start an IV, that i remember how to drive... Those are alot of examples. Care to refute?
