Im british living in canada, I have fuck all to feel inadequate about. Nice try tho...look in a mirror with regards to condescending baiting and whiny comments.
The fact that it bugs the crap out of you that we furriners post, is more your issue than mine,
I tend to treat people the same way they treat me, its therefore doubtful you will ever get a "friendly response" I doubt either of us care.
Ive had enough of this BS take it to mail if you wanna carry this on, this is pointless, OR just ignore me .... the hissy fits should lessen
condescending enough for you??

I don't care if non-American citizens post.  I even welcome it, because they sometimes have an interesting point of view.

Your posts, however, are generally belittling and without merit, and I generally do just ignore them.  Which is why you have rarely seen me respond to you.

This time, I decided to do so.

You fit in well with the know-it-all leftist crowd, with your smug superiority backed by ignorance and elitist anti-American 'tude.

Ever been in the US (for other than a day trip for shopping)?  When was the last time you were in South Carolina?

What exactly makes you such a fucking expert on all things American?

charleston,

Thanks for the information.

It's a very interesting situation, and I can't wait for the truth to come out.

Firm

Seconded.  Ain't nothing like the locals' info.

In the event that it DOES turn out that the votes were rigged, WTF?  Using an unknown who needed to have the money given to him, had to be the least stealthy way to do it imaginable.  The only explanation that I can think of is that some group wanted to show how easily the machines could be rigged.  But if so, why put up a fake candidate and give him $10K that likely can be traced back?

Lucylastic -> RE: A positive note about Alvin Green! (6/20/2010 8:26:28 AM)

I asked you to ignore me or take it to email,
until you can be honest, you get nothing more

Then you have to explain where the filing fee came from. His explanation is fairly obviously untrue.

Your assumption is that he couldn't come up with the money himself.

Your "wink, wink, nod, nod" assumption is that he is a poor, dumb, black guy, and therefore couldn't have decided to do something like this himself.  He must be someone's puppet.

Typical liberal condescension to our African American citizens.

You're a fucking liar.

We all know the facts of the situation. The man has been unemployed since his discharge from the army. He needed a public defender for the felony charges he's presently facing. He has no assets nor any income stream and failed to file any of the required FEC reports on his spending (if he did any).

This smells fishy and everyone knows it.

Typical lefist bullshit.  Anyone who may disagree with you in the slightest is obviously morally corrupt, and you sling the "liar" term around without the slightest compunction, which just shows your changing the meaning of words to fit your own world view.

Typical Firm bullshit. You simply make up lies about me and my motivations and beliefs and then you claim to be the wounded party when called on it. It's the same shit from you every time. It's boring as hell.

I know its unlikely but is there any chance at all that you could ever have a discussion without engaging in ad hominen or semantics? You know an honest discussion between adults?

ok.

What are the facts of the case?

Not your suppositions or your guesses.  The facts?

Here are the ones that I am aware of:

1. Alvin Green says he is unemployed.

2. Alvin Green paid his $10k filing fee.

3. Alvin Green claims it's his money, no one gave it to him.

4. Alvin Green won the open Democratic primary.

5. Alvin Green doesn't give a very good interview.

6. The state Democratic Party disallowed Rawl's challenge against Green.

Anything else is pretty much speculation, now isn't it?

DomKen -> RE: A positive note about Alvin Green! (6/20/2010 9:15:37 AM)

7. Green is facing felony charges.
8. Green never filed anything with the FEC.
9. The state election board is reviewing Rawl's challenge.

7. Green is facing felony charges.

True.

quote:

ORIGINAL: DomKen
8. Green never filed anything with the FEC.

True, but immaterial:

Alvin Greene Did Not File Forms With FEC

Hilland also said that candidates are required to file a statement of candidacy (see here) within 15 days of spending more than $5,000 on a campaign. Greene did pay  a $10,400 filing fee with the state Democratic party -- but Hilland says that filing fee does not apply toward the $5,000 registration.

9. The state election board is reviewing Rawl's challenge.

Apparently not true (unless you have some updated info):

Alvin Greene's S.C. Primary Win: Elections Board Declines to Investigate

Alvin Greene's controversial -- and curious -- victory in last week's Senate primary in South Carolina will not be investigated by the state's election commission.

Chris Whitmire, a spokesman for the commission, said it sees "no reason to initiate an investigation into our voting system," according to the Hill. "We have full confidence in the reliability and accuracy of the state's voting system and we have nothing to indicate there was any voting-system failure on June 8. The system has performed accurately and consistently."

I must have missed them issuing their ruling. Since Rawl raised valid issues with the outcome of the election this is a very curious ruling. It's too bad Rawl appears unwilling to pursue the challenge in court.

None of this changes the lies you told about me though.

DomKen gives 3 facts, two of which are untrue.

None of this changes the lies you told about me though.

You constantly fall back to the liberal trick of calling anyone a "liar" who disagrees with you.  This is a simple ad hominem attack, attempting to deflect others from your obvious rhetorical shortcomings, and an attempt to inflame me with justified rage, so that you can try to skirt out of the argument with a "see how emotional he is!" trick.

Fuck off.

Every single news article about how he got elected talks about the black vote.  You and you leftists buddies conspicuously and suspiciously never mention it at all.  Any observant individual not already lost in your ideology of deception can reasonably conclude that you are going to great lengths not to mention it, and why.

Because you are a sly bigot, but prance around like the Enlightened One, claiming that you have the "mandate of heaven", hoping someone else will mention race so that you can thumb your nose, and claim the high ground.

Not only are you a bigot, you're a fucking hypocrite and an elitist to boot.

No. you lying fool. I gave you a chance to retract your lies (2 opportunities as a matter of fact). You failed to do the honorable thing so I called you on it.

You've now called me a racist twice. You have zero evidence for that claim and know it. You can't discuss anything without engaging in ad hominen or semantics which is frankly pathetic.

Strangely for someone so eager to toss around claims of bigotry you have made two very bigoted statements in this thread. That marks you the hypocritical bigot not I.

I only saw him call you a bigot, not racist. There is a difference. And he is exactly right about your feeble "debating" tactics that you pull out when you are so consistently proven wrong.

So, DK, where is "the lie" in the above three paragraphs where you claim "I lie"?

Aren't you assuming he didn't come up with the money himself?  Yep.  No lie there.

Is Greene 1) poor, 2) dumb, 3) black?  Yep, seems to be all three.  No lie there. Or at least you aren't arguing against any of the three points (I'm not so sure he is as quite as dumb as many think he is, though).

Are you assuming he is someone's puppet?  Yep.  No lie there.

Are you a liberal?  Yep, no argument there, I don't think, is there?

So where is the lie, exactly, my friend?  It must be in this sentence:

Typical liberal condescension to our African American citizens.

Based on the evidence I gave i.e. 1) race has been mentioned in every single serious article about how he might have gotten the votes for the nomination,  and 2) you have studiously and overtly ignored the race issue, I can only come to the conclusion that you are well aware of it, but choose not to mention it.

As I said, the question that comes to mind is why you choose to ignore it?

My conclusion and opinion is that you were either awaiting someone else to bring up the issue so that you can race-bait (which you immediately did), and that your typical liberal condescension towards black Americans ("oh, they are so incapable of helping themselves, and so easily misguided and not smart enough to make their own decisions ... those evil Repuglicans have mislead him!") leads you to easily believe that he is a puppet.

Never occur to you that he was feed up with the establishment political players in SC, and that the black Democratic voters were as well?

Didn't think so.  I think it's a possibility.

You don't think it a possibility because of your inherent liberal blindness to the full humanity of black Americans.

That makes you a bigot in my book.  And I called you on it.  And you have no defense other than throwing the "liar! liar! pants on fire!" bullshit out there.

Tell me, where was the lie?  You might disagree with my opinion.  You can even state that.  I have no problems with you doing that.

But a "lie" is a false statement of fact, that one knows to be untrue, not a disagreement on opinion.

Anything unclear to you now?

Firm
