It sounds like your keyboard has a bad trace. The only realistic solution is to replace it. Laptop keyboards are proprietary, so you'll have to contact the manufacturer or a local authorized service centre. They're typically fairly reasonable in price. A Toshiba, for example, typically runs about $45 USD. Dell, on the other hand, can run $130 USD fairly easily (that's where Dell makes their money - produce crap that fails at nearly insane prices, then kill people on the parts after the warranty ends). In the meantime, you could plug in an external keyboard (either PS/2, if your laptop has a port for it - most do, or USB). That'll work for now until you can get the built in one sorted out.
