The Illuminati and the ZOG helped them. Al Gore probably had a hand in it as well, along with the leftist media conspiracy.

Frankly, how did the governors/mayors,etc. of TN bring down Wall Street?

What's incredible is that your normally thoughtful replies have denigrated to nothing more than another glimpse into the hateful, hate-filled mind of just another thoughtless partisan.

It's not all black and white, right versus left.

The Democrats are just as much blame as the Republicans (if not more so, in my opinion).

It's more about personal power, the personal acquisition of wealth and the shift to control of society to uncaring bureaucracies, and the use of them by individuals politicians than the agenda of any particular political party.

Until you can correctly identify the problem, you can't give good solutions.

You just weren't reading close enough. There was always that undercurrent to her socialism.

Didn't say that they necessarily did.

Our current mess is the result of politicians' attempts to get what they want, personally, and for their particular "side".  Some of them were Dems, some of them were Repubs.  The problem is the use of government, and governmental bureaucracies for personal and partisan advantage, rather than for making laws and regulations for the overall good of the country, regardless of which political party gains in the short term.

Someone who wants to blame it all on the Republicans (or all on the Democrats) ... then they are part of the problem, not part of the solution.

Firm,

I understand and essentially agree with the general direction of your intent here.

But at the same time, this --
quote:

Someone who wants to blame it all on the Republicans (or all on the Democrats) ... then they are part of the problem, not part of the solution.

....speaks exactly to the "throw 'em all out" mentality, including that of the Teas.

While I'm truly thrilled to see yet another disciple of the all-knowing Alex on here, what does your link have to do with unemployment?

An observation was made that unemployment tends to lengthen the time that a person will stay out of the job market.  (Which is pretty obviously true, btw).

How exactly is it "pretty obviously true"?

Because people enjoy the lavish benefits unemployment provides?

Because they enjoy demeaning themselves by proving to the unemployment bureau that they have the need for assistance and are actively looking for work?

Which republicans? The rich ones, the working poor or the unemployed?

You do realize that not all republicans are rich and not all democrats are poor right?

You do realize it is Republicans who are opposing benefit extensions?

Actually, no. that is incorrect.

The Republican plan was to pay for it out of the billions of dollars still in the TARP account.

It is simply the Democratic talking points that "Republicans want to stop the benefits".

And, as usual, you are parroting the Dem talking points.

How about you actually engaging your brain, and think about it, rather than reflexively taking a partisan position?

And as usual, while complaining of others partisanship you make a partisan argument yourself.

They did not want to take it from excess TARP funds, they wanted to take it from the stimulus package.

Which doesn't make much sense that you pass a bill to create jobs so there are fewer unemployed yet want to dilute the effect of that bill by using it for other purposes.

So you do admit, that your first statement was indeed in error?  That Republicans did have a plan, and were not simply "opposing benefit extensions"?

Well, I thought they were, but then I read Firms post, so maybe they aren't. Either way, I am not sure what that has to do with the posters who think all repubs are rich and all libs are poor.

Thanks a fucking lot people. You really have a way about you.

And what's more the subject matter is so fucking lame I won't even comment on it. If you're going to be a child, go beat up your brother or something, some of us are armed.
